Your earlier handicap must not have been golflinked otherwise you would not be off 22.  You will find it drops dramatically as you get above 14 rounds (or thereabouts) of the 20 in golflink.  You'll be off 13 before you know it.

Yeah the my previous HC was golflinked but it had been a 4 year lapse between comp rounds or me even playing at all. Would be nice if i can work my way back to singles by the end of 2019.

Follow my journey back to singles and hopefully a lot lower   :D

Returned to singles 27 April 2019

Lowest GA HC 6.5 (2012/13ish)

2019/2020 season goals:

  • GA HC to 5.0
  • Make the 2019/2020 club champ finals.
  • Top 5 at the 2019 National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Championship to be played at Ballarat GC
  • HC low enough to be considered to our premier grade pennants team

Stab at Warra today.

Front nine: one 3-putt, one wipe (ricochet off a tree to OOB), three 1-putts: 19 points.

Back nine: five more 1-putts, no wipes or 3-putts: 17 points.

Total of 36 points.

Wiped a non-flagged 36 off the bottom of my 20, so I expect minimal or no change to my h'cap.

Old handicaps don't expire. You should've provided your old number to your new club and it would have re-activated.

Can you use that rule if you know for certain the ball has gone out of bounds??

I thought that was a local rule option?

No, hit a provisional, stuffed that shot, too.

 Yes

I thought that was a local rule option?

Correct, and it has not been adopted at Warra.

Another mediocre 32 points with the now seemingly standard 37 putts. Five one-pointers and a wipe didn't help.

Social round with Barnesy and a mate at The Glades today.

Black tees  start with a great birdie on first hole then all down hill!

88 OTS  27pts.  Some great shots here and there but then terrible short game.

First round of year and a warm up for Wednesday round at Royal Pines. Not sure if that is a comp we are playing in or not.
