Driver: Cobra King F7 with a Fujikura XLR8 Pro 61 (66 gram) stiff flex shaft.

Fairway Wood: Cobra F7 3/4 Fairway wood with a Fujikura Pro 65 (70 gram) stiff flex shaft.

Irons: Titleist AP1 716 4-GW 2 deg up (Dynamic Gold S300 +1/2")

Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM6 (Dynamic Gold S300 + 1/2")

  • 52 deg F Grind (8 degree bounce) 2 deg up
  • 56 deg M Grind (8 degree bounce) 2 deg up
  • 60 deg M Grind (8 degree bounce) standard lie
Putter: Bettinardi queen Bee #8

And a Titleist Lightweight Stand Bag which is Navy, White and Lime.

Just over 2 years later and all still in the SAME bag.

Wedges. Vokeys m-grind 54 & 58deg

Only now need a vokey 50deg... Like

So far very happy with my purchase:

 

Cobra F9 driver 10.5 head ( plus 1.5 degrees)

 

Cobra F9 3-4 wood 9 ( set at 16) Whataweapon!

 

Cobra F7 Hybrids 19 and 22 being replaced with a F9 Hybrid one length 19 ( today if it arrives)

 

Cobra F9 one length irons 5 ( 22.5 degree)- Gap wedge ( 49 degree)

 

Cobra 54 /10 Versatile grind

Cobra 58/06 Wide low grind ( firmer sand bunkers)

 

Putter: E -Bay special Rife mallet /face balanced "Deep Blue" with a Kotahi grip

 

Variables:

 

65 C3i lob wedge for soft sand bunker courses

WIndy days Cobra F7 19 hybrid ( low flight) fairway finder.

Soft puggy fairways F7 hybrid set to 24.5 degrees ( out of the slop shots)

No I don't think so. But if they did, they would probably be very good and 2/3 the cost of the major brands. American ingenuity at its best.


I can spell reasonably well, even if in American at times. I cannot type well , so please look for the key I intended to use within one key of the strange one I used.

Hack 2489 do yourself a favour and try the F9 version of the Cobra  driver and 3-4 wood. I had the F7 Driver regular flex shaft ( was push fading my drives) then tried a F8 with a stiff shaft ( better control) and now the F9 with regular flex shaft that is better for distance and control. The F9 3-4 wood is very, very good in comparison to the F7

 

My problem is that as I am learning the game, much of the performance of the gear is down to my swing changing with time. So the above comments are possibly not  all that useful for you.

Ping Sigma 2 Valor mallet putter has replaced the Rife mallet . The longer handle on the Ping suited me better.

(2) Titleist D915 10.5 deg with Diamana 60 g silver shaft.

 

 Fwy woods combination rotating depending on course being played.

 

3w Titleist D915 vary at 15.5  - 17 deg with 75 g diamana blue shaft

 

5 hybrid 19 deg yardstick with I rod shaft

 

5w 18 deg callaway titanium with Nippon shaft

4- PW  Hogan Apex pro forged with Nippon 950 shafts.

56 Cleveland 588 11 deg bounce (use for bunkers at most courses)
