,

If you can just get to 36 putts a round, there's 7 shots to start with. Then you'll be amazed at what you can achieve.

Amanda
Going by the helpful hints
I think we are all interested in your progress and are all waiting for that handicap to drop to 44
I think we will all have a drink when we see that post come up (Amanda Wong Handicap change)

My little hint
Try going a round without picking up (atleast one point per hole)

Good golfing biggrin.gif

Amanda,

One day soon, you will go around with only 33 putts and think "How easy was that"
You will also probably lose 2 shots from your handicap.
Keep perservering and it will happen.

Mark.

Thanks for your support everyone biggrin.gif ! I am usually quite a good putter -2 putts most of the time, but was previously very bad hitting the ball on the fairway. So now I've got the 5wood sorted out, it's time to start focusing on the putting again.

I'll have to get my practice putting ring out and putt a few on the carpet tonight.

And don't worry - I'll definitely let you know when I break 45 (if you don't happen to see the full length ad I'll take out in the local paper or the skywriting smile.gif )

I need to putt better to take advantage of days like today... sad.gif
Had 30 putts for a 74 (+4)...
Bogeyed 12, 15, 1, 8 & 9
Birdied 5 (drove the green)
Think I psyched myself on the 8th teebox, trying to birdie 8/9 for a 70...IDIOT... :x
Hit 9 greens...

Another dreadful day on the course, 6 down. I'm going through a lot of pain trying to incorporate a swing change.

Hit the driver twice, and only scored on 9 holes but took only 9 putts for those holes, so a least my putting is red hot.

80 off the stick around Moonah Links off the markers.
The course is very long! The pro's are going to struggle around there if it gets windy.

First game today since getting back from the States. Birdied 1,3 & 6, which would sound good except I bogied 2 & 4 & doubled 5. That's not normally my game.

Ended up with 33 points. I played alot of golf when I was away, so I expected a little more. Funny how it works.

Had a game at Macquarie Links today. All the positive reports I've read are all true! Great design, great turf - the greens had been recently renovated but you could still tell they were good. Practice facility equalled by some on the Golf Coast but completely unequalled by anything in the Sydney region. Usual Club Corp service, which I think is excellent.

Sorry Onewood, I was simply reporting the most important and enjoyable part of my play of the weekend.

If you really want to know, had 33 pts off my 8 h/cap but hit it as good as I have in yonks. Only spoiled the score with a few shots I can put down to unfamiliarity with the course (or so I tell myself!!). biggrin.gif
