Round 1 of pennant at Leongatha Golf Club
what a great course this is.
I think the raters who do course rankings for top 100 courses in Australia should play here.
anyway I was pushed down the order to number 4 position this week and won 7&6.
Used a Vision Blue ball.
great start to year for me but team lost 3/4 maybe i will be promoted up order next week.

They have preferred lie in place but it’s not really necessary.
I had 41 for 18 and 42 for 17 for 35 all up – took my handicap down 0.3 to 11.1

Team Vision played today at Cape Schank.
great team win and all players played well.
result Team vision def JW 4/0
winners:
1) Littleman - giving 4 shots Won 1 up (always a fighter never quits)
2) Bogey Golfer giving 4 shots won 5 &4 (3 nice birdies helped)
3) JRG getting 1 shot Won 6 &5 (great form continues- he is smashing them)
4) Rishi giving 1 shot Won 6 &5. (well done in his first match play game)
course was great as always, greens were quick and fwys in good condition , a few showers, bunker left un raked so had preferred lies in bunkers.
A few kangaroos on course, but no sign of any Coronovirues present as it was a bit windy for them

played yesterday with Old Bogey and Dancer at Warragul.
course held up will considering rain. greens were a bit slow and lead to 3 x 3 putts, mainly because I didnt get my chips close enough for a certain 2 putt.
scoring wise, challenging with up and down hills and uneven lies.
broke 90 which was good sign.
14 & 14 = 28 points =consistent with NO wipe hole which was pleasing (4DB but had shot on holes ).
some good pars and some good bogeys
nice day and enjoyed the round.

Played in mixed foursomes on a lovely country day.
We played to our game plan, but didn't score well when we go ball close to 40m.
didn't put my partner into any bunkers, did hit her once into unplayable with a poor tee shot on 6th
score 100 net 80
had 5 x3 putt greens which didnt help
1 par
8x bogeys
7x D Bogeys
2 x triple Bogeys (7's)
1 x 8
A fun day with 12 pairs playing. Now club wants to have more and more mixed events.

Covid exercise round today at Churchill park with Bill Bradman, and Dancer and Andrew National in the other group.
. every other course is booked out or only has 9 holes of exercise available.
Played very conservative today with the goal to have no more than a bogey every hole.
started on 10th and hitting the ball no further than 165m even with a driver and hitting some slices and a few pulled shots,, managed to hit the ball inside 100m every hole in required number of shots and got up and down in less than or equal to 3 shots every time from that distance. in fact got up and down 6 times.
Only Double Bogey of day came when I played too aggressive on a 165 m approach on long hole, attacked with hybrid and put ball out of position to score, instead of staying with plan and hitting two shots of 110m + 55m safely on green
over all a very good fun day and good scoring strategy and great to get out of house, as I feel we may not get much golf in over next few weeks/ months.

good fine exercise day at Centenary Park Course with Dancer.
Course good condition, greens soft and bumpy so 1m putts very testing.
Dancer won our match 2up with a great par on par 3 18th, getting 1 shot per hole playing off the red tees, he played good bogey golf.
.
scores dancer 97, BG 81
fun day and good play from both players.
we finished in lovely sunshine, after a really good happy day. Only to learn we cannot play again for 6 weeks.

Played my first comp round, a stroke event.
Getting back into it all after a pretty long lay-off.
Had a shocker. Messed up too many shots close to the green, but generally putted ok when i finally got there.
Finished the day with my 3rd consecutive hundred, a personal high of 121 (85 nett).
Enjoyed it all the same, and hoping I can get my handicap down into the 20's by the end of the year.

3 pars 7 bogies 8 doubles..... 96.... lost point 5 31 putts
Visited hazards on 13,17 from 90 out .....also our gardens are now penalty areas and was in one on 8th tee playing 10th.... ball was against rock border so only chunked it out
Happy to have played under 100
Trialling Gankus swing change and seem to be hitting the ball straighter.
Thanks for reading
