Ok so a long time since posting as my game has been **** until today. Don't know why or where it came from but shot my best score ever. The start was impressive but what i liked most was being able to keep my head in the game for the whole round . Here's how it went.
Birdie

Eagled the third with a shot for a 2 with 5 points

Birdie
Birdie
Bogey
Bogey with a ******* 3 putt

Made the turn and started well.

Bogey for a 1 under 35.

68 off the stick net 60 with 48 points.

Deserved a few celebratory beers after ther game. Could be a long time till i see a card like that.

That is some seriously good golfing right there from an 8 marker. Well done mate, it what dreams are made of.

Thanks mate. I must admit being 5 under through 6 holes and i started to get thoughts about how i could **** it up. Then when i bogeyed 7 and 8 i started to wobble. The start was the easy part. Keeping my head in the game for 18 holes was the hard part.

Great round Jaybam.  One of those days we very rarely see, (I'm still waiting for mine.. :( ) but when it all clicks it must feel soooo good.  I'm sure there will be more.

Par at Drouin today.

With a frozen start, I played like character from the movie - erratic.

I took an extra shot on most holes with only one plus, finishing -9.
Nowhere near enough 1-putts.

No, I wasn't thinking that.

It was a Srixon.

Played as a pair (good friend off 15).  He had -11.

Pretty rubbish especially early and especially with the putter (although felt I hit solid putts but misread or too firm a few times)

12 back and 17 front for 29, equivalent to 90 off the stick bit included 2 pick ups

3 wipes 38 putts

Beaudesert fairways were patchy but the greens were good and quite fast

Played the short course stroke comp yesterday which pretty much converts the course into a drive, chip & putt round. First time playing the course from those tees & would do some things differently next time. My driving was good, chipping poor and putting average. Scored 72 (2 over out, 1 under back) nett 68 & handicap went up.

11/13 FIR
15/18 GIR
2/12 up & down from 50m in
4 bogeys
3 birdies
11 pars
34 putts with 1x3putt

2BBB mixed at Langy

course in good condition.

played to game plan for 31 points. No outs which is also a good sign.

process good, putting rolled ball well and a few good putts which just didn't drop.

our team score = 31 points. partner (S) didnt have a good day

Dancer and his partner (K) had 38 points with dancer being the main contributor although  he could have had a lot more points had he not had 45 putts (incl) a 4 putt).

Next weekend sees mens foursomes on Saturday, then back with S for mixed foursomes on Sunday.
