I've seen his scruples. Twisted, gnarly looking things. Scared me.

I've been a member there for the past year and a bit, great course that seems to hold up well in all conditions. This past year we had a bit of flooding, on the 2nd green mainly, due to the Plenty River backing up where it meets the Yarra, but in general the drainage is very good, and there are rarely boggy areas anywhere on the course. No major works going on at the moment, although the clubhouse is due for a refurb in the next year or so. The greens copped a hammering earlier in the year when a Poa Annua reduction program went bad and killed off patches of grass however that is 98% recovered now. Challenging course, quite long, some difficult bunkering, generally great condition and with Spring coming up it will soon be at its best. 50% joining fee reduction has to be attractive, doesn't it?

Oh, did I mention the serenity? Only 10 minutes from Heidelberg but you'd think you were in the middle of the bush.

We have some cashflow issues....half price joining fee notwithstanding. Don't be holding your breath for the game Muzz - will probably need to wait until daughter #1 finishes high school. As soon as I join - you're at the top of the invite list. You had me at cake.

It doesn't really have much water like Keysie, Rob, other than the creek that runs through it - doesn't come into play a lot. It's tree lined, so they come into play - I don't think it's as long as Keysie (I may be wrong) and I reckon the fairways and greens are excellent. It's fairly flat, other than the walk up 9 - I like the layout, but as with most things, it is in the eye of the beholder.

Muzz, it's 30 mins from home, only 8 mins further than Keysey. It's 35 mins from work, Keysey is nearly an hour in good traffic. I am now playing every Sunday, so Rosanna may not need to be an option. I love Keysey, and dont want to leave, but If I can get more golf in, for a very similar price, with no extra travel I will give it a long hard look. There is just not many options in close proximity to RingadingdingWood

Good point Sparto - 16 is a particularly long par 4 - only the bloody gorillas in the group get there in 2 - there's another one on the front 9 - I think it's the 5th - needs 2 pretty good swipes as well.

Muzz, i dont really want to leave Keysey. My main problem is a lack of practice rounds during the week. Hence the thought to move somewere closer
