Does this mean, that if a ball crossed the lwh but rolls back into it, that you can take a drop on the “green” side of the hazard (within 2 club lengths from where the ball LAST crossed the margin)? Providing of couse, that you don’t drop closer to the hole. Part 2, if that is possible, & more than likely, the dropped ball is going to roll back into the hazard also, is it ok for another player to stop the dropped ball from rolling back into the hazard after it crosses the margin? And part 3, would you then place the ball after 2 drops?

Near new range at Fitzgibbon (brissy) has some good ideas – several greens, overhead targets, even a hollow stump to aim for – more mats than grass – separate putting & chipping areas too. Not sure if cost is good or bad – have only been there once (even though it’s walking distance from home) – other person paid.

Boys easiest way to break a hundred, Never look at your score,
Have fun out there, play shot, by shot, when putted out after each hole write your score down, don’t look at your card don’t add your score forget about the score, after nine tell your playing partner don’t worry about telling the score, I know. Do this the whole 18, at the end of the round, you will be pleasantly surprised.
In golf you can’t aim for a score anything can happen, Then your not pressured or trying to hard , but all that matters your having fun remember once you hit the ball and it’s in the air it’s in gods hands.

Great advice. I’d been trying to get off h/c of 35 for ages but it only happened when I stopped worrying about the numbers. Had broken 100 a few times in non handicaped team events (kept a separate card) but finally did it in a single event on March 3 this year. Had my first game 10 years ago but have only played continuously for last 18 months.

To be more precise Mixjah it means you can have a group of either all males, all females or a mixture of both. So if you’re a mcp you don’t HAVE to play in a group with females.

That’s true LintzMan (if it’s been updated). I think the dude that does that at Virginia must be away. But Golf link (when it was free) was handy if you played at another club. Like you though I’m not going to pay for it.

Thanks all for your comments. Sorry if I caused confusion with my second comment. As GoonerAl pointed out, the original question was whether either of the players not in the comp (because they didn’t have a handicap yet) could be marker for player A.
The second part, about marker for an extra card, probably should have been a new topic. But it just came up when the ladies were discussing the first incident.
Just goes to show though, how easy it is the get it wrong. And its usually because we’re too lazy to read the rules & just take what someone else (who has been playing longer) tells us – even if they work on that old theory, “when in doubt, talk louder”.

As a novice on rules myself & the fact that Player A is the Associates President I figured she must know. Shame if you’re right because the incident caused quite a rift.
Same player & a few of her mates tell me that only a player with a current agu handicap can be marker for an “extra card” for handicap. The way I read the rules, you just have to be a financial member of the club.

Totally agree. Masters coverage is pathetic even compared to US Open. Dont get me wrong I think Tiger is amazing eg the shot to 18 from the 10th but I don’t need to see him walking up the fairway & chatting to his caddy. IBF was a welcome relief on the few occasions he got a word in but Faldo sounded like he’s trying out for US citizenship. A mate suggested today that it’s the network to blame. It’s their way. So how stupid would they look if an aussie won? Especially one that they haven’t shown in 4 days of play.

Saw the result a few years ago. 2 kids in a park behind my house – not supposed to play golf there. I’d told them a few minutes earlier to get away from the houses so they knew I was home. Next thing, there’s this kid with the outline of a 4 iron in his forehead & blood running down his face & his mate calling out from the fence…. “lady, hey lady”. He survived, thanks to the ambos I called & I never saw either one in the park again.

Got washed out ….. again ….. plus broke the connection on the battery on my buggy . 16 out of 60 something finished – 2 out of 13 were females & one of them was in a cart with the eventual winner so didn’t have much choice but to keep playing. Did have a good time at the 19th though.

A player playing from the greenside bunker, hits another players ball that was on the edge of the bunker & it rolls back into the bunker.
Q. Does player 1 replace the ball or does player 2 have to play it from the bunker?
Current opinion is you only have to replace a ball that is on the green.

No choice for me. If I reverse the car into the garage I can’t open the tail gate. And back when I was married, always drove in because my ex couldn’t find reverse gear on my manual car.

Lefties at Redcliffe last weekend was a disaster. After a 16 hole practice round of 62 net (22 putts) – temp par 71 on the Friday (corporate day shot gun cut us short) I lost the plot completely.

This is a bl..dy frustrating game but at least it gets me out of the house.

Finally had a partner for a 4bbb stroke but only had a score of 66. Ball rundown went to 63,

But once again, Monday was my day. Won with 43 points including 2 one pointers.

Think I’ll have a break next weekend & go camping instead.

Not all left handed golfers are lefties in other parts of their life so can’t answer that. I also know golfers who are lefties in everything except golf so go figure the left/right brain thing.
Could be interesting to find out though.
