Topic: Golf Talk / ISG Golf Competition Ok, didnt end up at North Lakes, we braved the water at Wantima and it wasnt as bad as expected. Plenty of water laying around but didnt get my socks wet, we had to play preferred lies though. Anyway, a big 40 points for me, 18 the front and 22 the back, 0 wipes, and I am glad to finally put in a decent score. Thanks, Nathan |

Topic: iseekgolf Golf Days / Anyone on the Gold Coast like to have a hit? Wantima will be too wet so I am going to take my mate who is down from Cairns out to North Lakes, he will have heaps, and I will be able to take his money, the guy I spoke too today didnt think it would be too wet, but that was some down pour just then, here in Albany Creek we rarely get the storms, but three since sunday is getting our average up. We were away on the weekend and came home too some water due to open windows, i needed new power tools and a television anyway, they are all soaked. Still count myself pretty lucky, |

Grew up in Byron, the course has changed a lot since I started playing golf. The resort does supply some water, but my understanding is that it cant be used on the course proper, only on the gardens fronting the course, not sure why, but that is what I was told. I dont ever remember a water problem in the years I played there, we always got water from the sewerage plant across the road, and those were the days when it always rained enough. Ocean Shores is great, I remember being a member of both for $105 when I was a junior. Nathan |

Topic: Sports Talk / Melbourne Cup Mad Rush and Nom Du Jeu were the runs of the caulfield cup, but this Profound Beauty of Dermot Weld’s is braining it at track work. There is massive hype over Septimus, and he is used to carrying the big weights, and will have a pacemaker probably as two of his stablemates are runnng. Can Efficient carry 4kg’s extra and still be a show, I dont know, I guess you have to take Lloyd Williams word for it, he does seem to know how to train them for the big races. Zipping had a great run in the Cox Plate, but he didnt seem to get the two miles last year, cost me the first four, but he seems to be going better this year. All the Good won the Caulfield Cup, and Barbaricus came third, both were really solid runs, dont know if Barbaricus has the goods, but it should be in the multiples at the light weight, and All the Good, is obviously capable. Hopefully after final declarations saturday we will get a better idea, my early money is on Nom Du Jeu, |

Topic: The Lounge / Seve, latest news He may not be gone, it depends on the type of tumour. Some are very aggressive(Glioblastoma multiformae and astrocytoma’s) and he wont last long, but some such as meningioma’s get taken out, grow back eventually(where they then get taken out again) but the person will continue to function normally. With an operation that took that long it could have been an acoustic neuroma, which will mean he may lose some facial nerve use and have some hearing loss, but he would be ok. Lets hope it was a good one, and that Seve makes a full recovery. Nathan |

I should be in charge of the judiciary, plenty of suspensions for grapples, no hitting anyone in the head with anything(not even a shoulder), and no suspensions for any Manly players, or NSW players, just to give us an even chance at State of Origin time, |

Topic: Golf Talk / what's keppera like at the moment? I play at Wantima now, much cheaper, and the course is usually in pretty good nick. I only play probably 3 of 5 saturdays, but I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and a friendly drink after the game, |
