Topic: Swing advice needed Another tip someone gave me once was swing with your hips, not hands /shoulders. Hence. concentrate use your back pocket (right butt) to sweep u’r weight through the ball, not focusing on the hands at all. |

Topic: Swing advice needed
Your first move needs to separate the hip and shoulder motions. Tai’s advice does this in nice small swings. For a bigger swing we talk a lot on this forum about getting your hips to bump parallel to the flight light (tiny lateral slide) whilst leaving the shoulders up top. The bump allows room for the right shoulder to now drop down plane (as opposed to lurching forward moving our low point of the swing arc way forward and having to chop down at the ball) and right elbow loads of room to pass the right hip attacking the inside aft quadrant of the ball. Think of hola hoops. Hips move independent of the shoulders. |

Actually its technically a very good visualisation of a swing motion, down and out. Read it again and see the croc being thrown down the fairway. |

Topic: Swing advice needed OEJ, A couple of swing tips. At home. Stand in your address position (not holding a club) with you left foot against a wall which is at right angles to your swing. Plce some double sided sticky tape on your left shounder. Rotate your shoulders back and then through to the target. YOur shoulder should brush the wall with enough force to remove the take from your shoulder and leave it on the wall. On the course. as you swing, imagine you are swinging a crocodile by its tail into a river from a boat. If you launch forward with your shoulders the crocodiles head will hit the deck and he will get angry and bite you. Keep your balance, turn around your spine, and you will launch him far into the river. Hope that helps. |

Topic: Swing advice needed Tai is on the right track. Another swing thought you can use to reduce your slide to target before impact is to take the club up the the top & then have the thought of starting the downswing with your right hand (for a right handed golfer). It’s a simple thing but it’s pretty hard to get ahead of it using this thought process. |

Topic: Swing advice needed One eye… this drill may seem strange but it does work (most of the time) and depending on a certain players current level. ...... Stand with your feet together, take a 7 iron and swing it back 50% and follow through 50%. This drill helps with balance/tempo mainly. We are not concerned about distance, just a straight ball flight. If you do it correctly, a small draw should follow. Good luck |

Topic: Swing advice needed try keeping your head behind the ball at impact. this will alow u to hit it straighter and longer as your arms will be able to release properly |
