Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / Help with Training Regime. Thanks AB My ego does want me to be stronger…but i guess strength will develop over time even if you just focus on the 50-60% dynamic workouts. Any tips for hamstring flexibility? I was taught once that deadlifts are really good for this … |

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / Help with Training Regime. yes, thanks too from me AB! i have started working out again …though i think my 50-60% was really around 80% the good thing about this type of workout is that i’m not as sore the next day…i had put off doing weights as i would always be too sore to swing the club the next day |

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / Correcting a Fade Hi Dart and Guru I find that i tend to fade the longer clubs more so that the short ones. Is this because when horizontal hinging more hand roll is required for the the longer club? I know i have a trouble allowing my hands to roll freely so i was thinking that this would show up more in the longer clubs if they require more rotation. Thanks |

Topic: The Lounge / LPG conversion Its a V6 and most of the driving is around town… We only do less than 14,000Km per year but do want to save on petrol. Would still like some boot space…definitely need it for the pram/stroller. |

Topic: The Lounge / LPG conversion Hi I’m thinking of converting my 4yr old Commodore (done 50,000km) to LPG. Its a bit of a petrol guzzler at around 12-13liters per 100km. Does anyone have any experience with conversions? With the 2K rebate still available it seems to make sense but not sure about the side effects. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Taking Divots
The target of the club head is the lowpoint. Thus you should get
a bigger divot the further you are away for lowpoint (eg using a
SW versus 4 iron). |

Topic: Golf Talk / Badds at the FBR
I have not seen the pics but the similarity would probably be due to the TGM influence .. I understand that Badds is being coached by some guys who know the golf machine (TGM) and the Elk is/was a machinist Well done Badds! |

Topic: Golf Talk / Remote control buggies
I saw a similar thing once except that it was a runaway car going
down the hill heading for a big drop into the river...i was
watching from a few hundred metres, cheering the cart whilst
humming born free and bagging out the yoboos who lost their
cart...unfortunately a good samaritan saved it |

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / How accurate are good players ?
As for accuracy statistics i suggest you check out some of the work by David Pelz or shotlink. This shows that the best tour player is on average within 6% of the target eg miss target by 9m on a 150m shot and so on. Thats the best, average is 6-9%.
I still find these stats hard to believe...i guess its because
when we see the golf highlights we do the the ones that land
extra close or we only remember the good shots and discount the
bad ones we see. |

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / Flat left wrist I can see the rays of sunshine but its still a bit foggy. Is the left wrist still flat at the straight arms position after impact? If not when does it bend? My understanding is that it would still be flat when you swivel (left forearm rotation) to get out of the straight arms position. I assume that after the swivel the wrist would bend as the elbow bends. My habit is to bend the wrist to get out of the straight arm position and this is what I think may cause some hooks. Thanks |

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / TGM & Putting
Thanks Randy Cool ...i was using both right elbow and shoulder to power my "push stroke" ...so now i will use only the right elbow to power the shorter ones and thus less moving parts too
Many thanks |

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / TGM & Putting Randy
Can you (or anyone else) please confirm that even on short putts
(eg 3 foot) you "must go to the both arms straight position,
or at least straighten the right arm."

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / Putting
I was just hoping to keep the ball on the chalk line and go into the hole...thus i figured it must have been set up to be a dead straight shot, slightly uphill ...i at least proved to myself that i could put straight if i had a chalk line to help me...i do know that i was a lot more confident with the chalk line as i did not have to worry about reading the green and then doubting myself
Thanks |
