Topic: Golf Talk / Is Europe's policy the right one? Pick the best team. Jesper isnt playing well enough to be picked anyway but a future team could be decided in the same way. Whixh is wrong. Use a method that chooses the best 12 European players such as the world rankings. |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Gippsland course selection Leongatha has had a free pass at the population of Inverloch, which has no golf course (except the nine hole par 3 course). The two towns should be able to maintain one club between them. But they are in better financial state than Lang Lang. Lang Lang should be drawing more members from Melbourne's outer fringes. It is only 15-25 minutes drive for some and the fees are so cheap compared to in the Cranbourne area. With all the mortgages in Cranbourne, Lang Lang should be cashing in on its prices. |

Tatura: not as good as the better border courses. Needs loads of
water to save it. |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / A difference between the Weakest hole and the Worst Hole? WEAKEST: hole most likely to disrupt the round. WORST: hole with crappiest or most stupid architecture, or a hole that doesn't work. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Townsville Golf Well said rtyarrow. Rowes Bay deserves more praise for recent efforts. But is not worthy enough of the glowing reports that northern hacker is getting defensive about to justify an interstate tourist to have to play there. Choose the middle ground between ttitheridge and norhtern hacker and that is where I stand. And if you are travelling by road up the Bruce Highway, make sure you see Bowen and Ayr on the way up. But don't bother with Yeppoon or Proserpine which are nice but not as good. |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Which course am I? You said great fairways, so it can't be a par 3 course. You said shorter than average but you also say it is suitable for junior golfers. Is it a lot shorter than average? Like Oakleigh? |

Topic: Sports Talk / Now who's laughing Ganguly!!!!! What is this talk of praising Brett Lee? Like Peter Roebuck said. I would like to see him bowl well against better opposition than Zimbabwe and do better than 1-45 against India before saying he is back to near his best. One great shot wins a game but it does not make you back in form again. |

Topic: iseekgolf Golf Days / Perth Day Golf Courses You can play Kennedy Bay for $30 including cart and you are playing Burswood instead? Trust me the drive will not hurt anyone. I think the Indian Ocean must have long term brain contaminants in it. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Aussie Bush Courses Aussie bush courses are our greatest assets. For $10 or $15 you can play some fantastic courses. Most have one full time groundsman and an apprentice. many have less. I prefer to hit my ball into leaves and have a twig resting under it instead of hitting into a lake with blue dye in it. |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Your First Course My first game was at Elsternwick. I loved that it was short. My Mum dropped me off during the school holidays and gave me enough money to play all day. I think I played my first 20 games at Elsternwick before I walked on another golf course. Then I went to the 1987 Australian Open at Royal Melbourne 8O That is when I wanted to see more. |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / under rated courses. Tathra is better than many other courses that people play instead. Catalina and Bega are ordinary, Bermagui is ok. Catalina only gets people to play because it is in a bigger town Batemans bay. You might be there when they play a Von Nida tournament at Merimbula and Tura Beach. Tathra is a fun layout that is well conditioned. It is a bit shorter but not too easy. |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Kingston Links I played it once and the condition was ok. It is further away for me than other good golfing regions, so it is not worth the trouble to go often. I liked the game there, and there are some really fun holes. The back nine has too many similar holes of just ordinary interest. |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Anglesea v Torquay Torquay murders Anglesea. I heard Torquay was bad but I played two games just over a year ago. Anglesea would be like a very average bush cose if it had a bit less money. I think the layout and the strategy dont stand out much. I played it about five years ago and couldnt work out the fuss. It is quite nice and I am happy to go back. But it is not that great. I can believe at Anglesea that I am 200 miles inland. What do matthew, spooky and stiga like about Torquay? I like the bunkers and greens and I like the general terrain. The good looking holes look really great, and the clever holes are a lot of fun. I am sad about 13. It is a great driving hole through a small opening down a narrow fairway. But it opened up near the green. Have they changed the green? Where is the par 3 tee? |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Best practice facilities Dunes Chipping green I use for two hours most times I go there. Large enough putting green to be interesting for a long time. And I don't get in the way of other golfers when I use 10 balls and spend ages on it. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Tim Dugdale - Vic Amateur semi-finallist mau, What ISN'T exciting about watching Adam Scott's past two years. Four wins in the past two years in Europe and the US. And a couple of years ago, Allenby won 4 US PGA Tour events in less than a year and a half. Those two are gunna cost me some dollars in the coming years. And when Dressed Baddeley gets firing, I'm gunna be crying many nights into Elin's boobs for sure. |
