Topic: I've just about seen everything now! I got one of these as a gift from the better half. I have certainly found it interesting, and while it doesn’t replace any of the other things like seeing a coach etc, it does give you some information which might be useful. |

Topic: I've just about seen everything now! I got given one of these through work and gave it a go. I can’t say I used it every day but it gives you some good data that you would normally not have access to as a regular punter. I played around with it and its gives every indication the data is pretty accurate. Just depends on how interested you are in that sort of information. |

Topic: I've just about seen everything now! Lazy Jack I’m with you….it’s a great little feedback tool for helping your swing get back on plane. I suffer from casting now and then and using this aid to help me “feel” the “right” swing….use to to try and groove/tame the swing into shape. With a couple lessons from the local pro and this little device I’ve dropped 5 shots this year…..now for my putting….. |

Topic: I've just about seen everything now! Beginning to think the club face angle at impact on the swingbyte is not so far out as I thought it was. More that my swing is not as good as I hoped it was! |

Topic: I've just about seen everything now! Been using it for about three months now and its good, don’t knock it until you try it. Why muck around with torches and sticks when this thing will show your swing plane from any angle. My swing plane gets a bit steep but a few swings on the down the line view and I am back on plane. |

Topic: Where do you go to buy your golfing needs?
You and I are good club men Bumpa. I do the same. Some times Tom Arnott gives us such good deals at Wantima Pro Shop (gratuitous plug) I am sure we are ripping him off, but he is always happy to help us out. |

Topic: Where do you go to buy your golfing needs? oz ebay has few on them but seller is listing them at 79 bucks OH please they dont even reatil for that!! jim kid sportrs had them for 59 last week ..only available in WA – where jim kid sports are located usa ebay the go just use the ebay filter (cheaperst price/postage) will take 2 weeks to arrive though I rarely find good deal on oz ebay – too many people bidding for the one or two items, whereas USA ebay so many listing – often shirts dont even get a bid! puma shirts are also the biz too http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=under+armour+golf+shirt+lot&_sop=15&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313&_nkw=puma+golf+shirt&_sacat=0 nice material and designs in the puma range under armour are very generous sizing, puma – go up one size nike are about avergae depending on model of shirt – ask for measurements- adidas are generous too – get the clima fit 360 ones…nice shirts in temrs of thinnest material but still lobg lasting under armour by far the best, only issue is though designs are pretty plain for most of them. Puma and Nike have some pretty funky designs lindberg are nice too but hellishly $$$$ |

Topic: Looking for feedback on my swing
That’s the way to go. It’s like learning to read, concentrating on learning the words, then learning what they mean and finally understanding it all in context. It can be painstaking but worth the time and effort. |

Topic: Best golf book to read Nominating a “best” just wouldn’t be possible for me probably because there’s a few different types of golf book. For short stories/musings, “Fairways and Greens” by Dan Jenkins is a ripper, as are most by Jenkins – even the non-golf ones. It’s in the same vein as Harvey Penick’s “Little Red Book”. There’s the detailed recent historical type. Think “A good Walk Spoiled”, “Caddy” etc. Or anything else by John Feinstein for that matter – he’s the Jon Krakauer of sports authors. Then there’s older history and, as per posters above, Mark Frost does this superbly. For ex-players et al telling tall tales and true type books, David Feherty and Gary McCord spin good yarns too. “Bud, Sweat and Tees” by Alan Shipnuck (about Rich Beem) is a good one here, as is “Who’s your Caddy” by Rick Reilly (probably the best sports writer of the last 20 years). Mike Clayton’s “From the Inside” is also very readible. In the category of “journey/life dreams”, Michael Bamberger’s “To the Linksland” is the best I’ve read. Lawrence Donegan’s “Four iron in the Soul” and “Last Rounds” by James Dobson are highly recommended. “Augusta” by Steve Eubanks is a great read if only because the subject is so fascinating. Auto/biographies? If you like the player you’ll probably like the book. Nicklaus’s is probably the best I’ve read. Then there’s the classics. Herbert Warren Wind, PG Wodehouse, and Bernard Darwin are the picks for great writing. Go for an anthology or collection. I do not read instruction or “mental approach” books. Does that help? |

That was the one I posted. But I know my swing plane is wrong so I wouldn’t mind having a look. |
