Topic: ISG Ireland trip
Scarlett, Some great courses in that part of the world! The fantatstic Rosses Point is right beside Sligo. A little further is another fantastic course Enniscrone. Those two alone will make your trip even more memorable. You could also look at some of the great links courses of Donegal such as Murvagh, Ballyliffen or Rosapenna. You’ll have a blast either way. Castle Dargan is also in the area. Let me know where you will be staying and playing and I can help you further. |

Topic: ISG Ireland trip
Ditty small geography lesson. Last I checked there isn’t a train out of Canada that goes to Europe. Just thought I would give you the heads up on that one!!! Probably only a minor issue. |

Topic: ISG Ireland trip Styles, Will throw my hat is as well. I will be in Europe in late May/Early June 09 (maybe longer if I hang around for the Ashes cricket). Will be based in London, but only a hop and skip over to Ireland. Missed Ballybunion and Royal Portrush on my last visit. Cheers, Malvern |

Topic: ISG Ireland trip Have got long service due in June so would def be interested in a July August trip. The other half loves Dublin and we have talked about going back and seeing a bit more so even if she didn’t want to bring her clubs I am sure she would be happy as belting down a pint or 12 |

Topic: ISG Ireland trip My wife (born and bred in Dublin) always uses the adage of April showers bring forth May rains. I recall the May rains when last there. Not sure if I recall if it stopped raining in 2 weeks. Take your wet weather gear. |

Topic: ISG Ireland trip I also like the idea, have been wanting to have a golfing holiday, the missus would probably be keen too, and she does play golf But like gribbles, very advance warning would be needed to organise time off from work and budget |

Topic: ISG Ireland trip This was something Guru and I discussed when he was in Ireland last week. The idea would be a week or ten day long accompanied tour of Ireland and maybe Scotland. At this point I’m just determining if there is enough interest to look into it. Please use this thread to let me know if you would be interested in being part of a trip if it was organised. I have no plans in place beyond this initial determination of interest but I would suggest that a trip would have plenty of golf on some of Ireland’s greats and a couple of rest/shopping/tourist days to see the country and some of its magnificent views. I would imagine that it would be easily possible to have a non golfing partner with you if you wanted to bring the wife/girlfriend/husband/significant other with you as well. Please don’t ask about cost yet as that will be affected by numbers but the ball park figure will be what you would expect to pay for a Sydney to Dublin flight and good standard hotels during the stay. Where I hope to make things better is by using the numbers to get cheaper golf on the various courses that you might play. I would hope to get Guru, Dart and Bio on board as well who could potentially do golf schools/lessons during the holiday. (Don’t tell them though as I have yet to run it past them!) Anyway, lets be having you. ps I think that April/May is the best time for such a visit but it could be pushed back to July/August as well. |
