so you dont like keysy mate, why we not good enough for ya buddy, do we not fit in your salary bracket or eat enough caviar to get in.

for your info, I came from playing pennant at club regarded rating wise well above huntingdale, and shat all over the pennant squad at HD….

I chose to move to keysy for my reasons, one of them being just as you quoted “you play keysy FFS”, like we are below the gold plated chaps at your magnificent golfing establishment…

so just relax buddy, just coz daddy pays your way through the golden gates and up the driveway, doesnt mean that there is not quality people and tracks without hanging onto a “once” prestige name……

nah not really, personally i couldnt give a fuck, I chose keysy for their great members, relaxed environment and very under-rated course…..

I peronally know committee members at Commy, Yarra, Metro been asking me for years to get down there…..

I choose not to. Joining a golf club is not always about how many pubes you can count on the bathroom floor, or how many sprigs of parsley they give you on top of your lunch meal…..

there is ALOT more to choosing a golf club than meets the eye…..

BTW I have no problems with h’dale, I like the track, but you remind me of the snotty nosed tryhards that are often associated with clubs…..

maybe it’s just the way you come across online, bagging tier below clubs etc, feeding your need to feel “exclusive”…...I dunno, but whatever

I know your Kingston Heath’s and Commonwealths do attract young players from other clubs but you can’t blame them wanting to play at the highest level.

Kingston Heath are not guilty of this. In fact they have a policy of quite the opposite. They have made it to Div 1 this year by fostering their own talent, which is a credit to them.

I believe Commonwealth scout players at a very early age and develop them through the ranks. By early age, I mean pre 16.

The days of blatantly stealing established players from other clubs via free memberships went when Southern ran out of cash. If the above ‘fostering of talent’ meets the criteria of ‘attracting young players’ from country courses, then that will always occur. If you’re a good car driver, you do everything you can to be behind the wheel of a Ferrari.
