played round with my mates sunday. tried finessing the driver for the front nine and could not hit a fairway. Went back to smacking the piss out of it for the back nine and hit every fairway. funny old game.

Can see improvement in my short irons, which is what i’ve been working on, always good to see results.

played at club pelican today. had 97. not to unhappy tho, first time ever playing there. was a nice course, had a lot of adjusting to do while putting, absolutely nothing like home.

been struggling of late. haven’t hit many good balls since my clubs pro am about a month ago. the pro i was playing with noticed an alignment problem halfway thru the round, since then i’ve been really battling.

hope i can get into some sort of form quickly. need to spend some time at the range before my holidays i think.

best round in comp was 62 nett to win the city classic last year, was stoked.

worst stats wise, was a couple of weeks ago playing in the city pro-am, 29 points with 6 wipes, was a bit annoyed due to nailling it for most of the day. haven’t had a whole lot of comp rounds though, no doubt the worst will change in the future.

the socceroos are nearing full strength, if they want to make the world cup they need to dispose of the uzbek’s.

they should easily account for them, qatar beat them 3-0, and we beat qatar 3-0 in melbourne i think it was in june with a 2nd string team, so hopefully they display some good football and win easily

its a pain carrying them, tee off at the 2nd and remember that you left the bucket where you hit your 2nd shot at the first. need to find something more appropriate that can go in a pocket of the bag.

don’t get cranky or pissed off after playing a bad shot or 2. they are going to happen, whether you like it or not.

After i hit bad shots and even after good ones, i think about all the funny things some of my friends say and do which keeps me chillaxed. strange probably, but its effective.

i rung the golf works at the gabba when i was looking for new clubs, person on the phone wasn’t sure if they even stocked the clubs i was looking for. Told me there was too many people in the store to get me a price on some sets, and told me they would ring me with the prices. No call. Won’t be using them in the future.

My local golf world is ok, over priced but the staff are always friendly.

i was just caught a bit on fox sports news, apparantly played with a torn ligament for over a year in his knee, and during the us open picked up a couple of stress fractures i think they said.
