But its more than an year ago and it doesn’t have a good comparison between Smoothy and X Type. So any of you guys have experience on both of them, which one you perferred? Any why? Oh, and how much you got it for (and can you tell me if you spot any bargain price on both of them) Many thanks |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Yes!Golf putter - finding a redistributor in Gold Coast area Hi, I have lost the contact with my Mizuno guy and I would like to try a few things out. My son highly recommend the Yes!Golf putters. Never heard of this brand but it cannot be too bad if my child can average 28 putts with his own. But I got a problem here. Couple of places I have been visit only sell them as it. They do not do customization. I am relatively short and require a putter with much shorter shaft, and very flat lie angle. It would be nice if they can make the putter head heavier too. I am hoping any of you guys can shed some light for me. Thank you very much. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Hydbrid - Please Recommend Hi, In my opinion (and as a senior golfer who have a lower handicap)
If you are low handicapper (or someone who hook a lot - not
necessary low handicapper)
If you are mid handicapper (or someone who perfer a more natural
bias)
If you are high handicapper who like the ball to go up in the air
consistently (or fighting a slice) Out of these bunch I will pick:

Topic: Golf Equipment / New X-20 Tour Irons Hi I was in a special demo day hosted by Callaway when they are about to release the X20 and new FT series. Before I am going to say how good it is, its very, very important to understand that the shaft is the engine of a golf club. The best shaft is the one that's properly fitted to suit the player. ProjectX certainly is one of the more premium option on the market but it won't do any good to you if it doesn't fit you. I am not as strong as I used to, but I saw the young blokes hitting the ProjectX 6.5 very, very well. I am more enjoy the NS 850 version I tried. Assuming you got a Australian handicap 9 this should be a very good iron for you. Its forgiving on miss hit and the workability is almost as good as other irons that designed for better player. I think it still look a little thick from the top. I will give it a 9/10, consider it is targetting high single digit to mid teen handicap players. It does delivery what these players need. If you are in Melbourne, go to their fitting center and allow them to make a set thats fit for you, don't limit yourself on the ProjectX shaft. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Driver Face Angle Hi, I am using a MP001 460cc that is specially made for me by the staffs in Mizuno Japan, which has a 4 degree open face. Sounds strange, but with the "up sweeping" action I tend to snap my wrist a lot that cause the hook, but I can do it so consistent, lets say 99.9% of the time. But I still got plenty of power behind the ball and able to hit around 280yards even I am getting older now. To me I find adjustments of the equipment is easier than adjust my swing. Especially I already left Japan for good and my coach is not with me anymore. So it really come down to...
Assume you have a bad hook swing (or the other way around) In my case, I hit my fairway wood and irons with a natural consistent draw, its only my driver that really plays up. Change of the swing might get my driver on track but possibly stuff up everything else in my game (been there, done that) so with my case I can't afford to adjust my swing for just one club, and its more worthy for me to have a specially adjusted club. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / what's the BEST and TYPICAL method of cleaning our clubs?
Hi, Pretty much the same as timatldg, wipe it everytime you hit a shot. But for the grip I have a special care of it.
I like my grips extra tacky, so once every 2 weeks or so I will
dip the grip into sink full of warm water with have dishwasher
liquid in there for about 15 mins, then use gladwrap to wrap the
grips and leave it for another 1 day. When finish the grips are
very, very sticky |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Travel bag
Hi, I have the same one too. I use it to travel to Asia/Pacific area without any problem. There're padding inside to protect you bag. It also got lots of extra room even after I put my staff bag in there so I can put my clothes/shoes etc in there.
I even put my laptop computer in there couple of times. |
