Ok but how about kickback. This week back Thorbjorn Olesen in the BMW 51/1 so that means he wins the following week right?

Bummer. I was thinking of backing him this week too.

Topic: Golf Talk / Manly GC

Interesting thread for me as some mates at my club are planning a golf weekend up in Sydney to play our reciprocals up there.

Manly is one of them and NSW is the other. We are trying to decide whether to play NSW and Manly or just play NSW twice.

What would locals recommend? Manly worth it for something different?

Topic: iseekgolf Golf Days / ISG Vic OOM#2 - Heidelberg GC, 21st April 2013

The only shot on the course that the GPS won’t cover is the shot from the dogleg on 9 into the green.

All other holes are mapped…check the e-mail I sent a week ago.

At the moment, Heidelberg are reconstructing their green on the par 3 6th hole. It is unlikely that it will be in play for our day. For those of you using GPS units, you should note the following:

the par 3 6th (as per the GPS unit)...OUT OF PLAY

the par 4 7th (as per the GPS unit) is now playing as a par 3 6th. You can utilise the GPS unit for the 7th hole here.

the par 4 8th (as per the GPS) is playing as the 7th hole

the par 5 9th (as per the GPS) is playing as the 8th hole

the par 4 10th (as per the GPS) is playing as the 9th hole…but is playing to a temporary green. This green doglegs left, as distinct from the normal (10th hole) green that doglegs right. There are no GPS co-ordinates available past the dogleg on this hole, but distance markers are in place

the par 3 that is now playing as the 10th is just past the dogleg of the previous hole. It is around a 100m par 3. You can still use the 10th hole on the GPS unit for distance from the temporary tee. btw….you will be playing from a mat as the teebox.

And all that….

Smoldy. Like the Grand Canyon….one of the few things in life that when you see it, it doesn’t disappoint.

Interested!!!!
Bman is still in there, and he is looong, just not as long or as good looking as me.

Ghetto train – get on it.
Bandit express.

Winner C grade OOM #3 Patterson River.

Yeah it is going to have to be some very tasty odds to get me to have a nibble. In order for me to pull it off I’d have to rely on some of the bigger hitters missing the fairway on that hole.

Topic: iseekgolf Golf Days / ISG Vic 2013 Matchplay Championship

Well it was a funny old match out there today. Beautiful course but very hilly which didn’t bode well for us in the 30 degree plus heat. I thought at one stage it might be a case of last-man-standing winning the match.

But in the end Francie took the bikkies through 19 holes. It was a topsy-turvy match and I think both of us will admit we didn’t play our best golf. Francie got out to a two up lead though seven but after realising I should put the driver away I managed to win 5 in a row to go 3 up through 12.

After losing the 3 subsequent holes we walked to the 16th all square. I won the 16th, Francie the 17th, so it was down to the final hole. I managed to pull something out of my ass and sink a 20 footer from the fringe to halve the hole with a par.

But the golf Gods decided to restore some karma to Francie on the 19th and hand him the match with a comfortable two-put from a solid green in reg.

Great day, great course and a great win by Francie.

Until next year folks.

BGH out.

Yeah I did it in Melbourne. It’s pretty cool, guy seemed to know his stuff.

If your club pro-shop stocks Callaway stuff you should be able to do it for free. Just tell them you are buying new stuff and want to get fit and to send the final specs to the pro-shop at your club.
