Without knowing all of the facts Mick, I really think you need to put some trust in the people that made the decision. And I’d rather you left it at that. Without going into details let me just say that the committe made the only decision they could have taking into accout the rules of golf.
As there was conjecture regarding my final score I should have waited for a ruling before handing in my scorecord. Yes I am dissapointed the I did not post a score for OOM1 but that is as much my fault as anyones as I know the rules but didnt think on the day.
I do not hold any grudges over what happened and neiter should any one else. Winner: Overall Long Drive @ OOM5 Curlewis 2012 Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It’s not my fault that they are all wrong. http://www.golflink.com.au/...

Come on P&B you can do better than that.
I’ve heard about 8 names in relation to what your on about. Travis Tuck wasn’t one I heard but it turned out he had a rather nasty issue with the stuff. But as he was a middle of the road player we don’t talk about him. It ain’t newsworthy.
I’d just be interested to know where people get their info. It’s easy for a Caro or a Patrick Smith to name and shame without basis. Dane Swan has a few late nights last year and all of a sudden he’s the new meth king of Melbourne according to some. But I don’t buy that either. But hey it sells papers and a retraction later on is easy to print.
Not saying these things don’t happen but I do think they’re blown out of proportion by people who know alot less than they purport to.
Show me an “Official quote” from an official source and I’ll start taking notice of some of this stuff. Until then it may as well come from Lionel Hutz attorney of law off The Simpsons. Because that’s about how much credibility half the stuff has.

fact is one of tow best full forwards currently playing and in the hawthorn side walked into his club when testing was being done and said i took drugs last night 3 times… which then removes him from the testing list and puts him on the counselling list… there is a loop hole… admit it and we will help you, get caught and you get a few chances… personally i think the drug use doors should be opened to the AFL. then we would be able to explain some of the performances ..

Hi GPJ, wanted to let you know I made it through the whole thing. I don’t believe Melbourne tanked by the way, if they had they would have put a whole lot more thought in to their selections. Nothing against Jack Watts, he’s a serviceable player, probably in the top half of the players in his team. But there are minimum 10 guys who should have been taken before him in ‘08. Taking lack of talent to a whole new level.
That’s a hindsight thing. I think you’ll find out of all 16 clubs they were all going to take either Jack Watts or Nic Nat.
Don’t believe they tanked? Are you serious? It was absolutely blatant in my book and the only thing that saved them was the fact that another 3-4 clubs over the last decade are under suspicion of similar exploits and the AFL doesn’t have the time or the resources to go down that path with all of them. Essendon will escape drug sanctions for exactly the same reason.

Golfers elbow.
Had it looked at yesterday. A nerve had popped out and was sitting on the wrong side of the funny bone. Nothing funny about getting it back there let me tell you! Normal bloke was away and i copped a very tidy young female osteo who was a bloody sadist! Knew her stuff though. Sore as buggery today so no comp but hopefully will settle in a few days. Might give all the pills and potions a go until it does.

Essendon Football Club
Time to get really serious and have 2 divisions of 12 teams with the bottom 2 relegated from division 1 each year. Everyone plays each opponent home and away. No perennial cellar dwellers get axed or relocated and there is more Tv content. 2 teams in Tassie plus ACT and Darwin. Then 3rd teams in WA and SA and away we go. Tail-end of the season would get very interesting and tense A Golfer until the day I die despite playing absolutely crap
Mouldy i was always against that idea but to be honest these days i think it has real merit. Especially in the interests of having a fair and equitable draw. The other one that springs to mind is 20 sides and two conferences. 9 games against your conference, 9 games against the other conference. A final 4 in each. Playoffs (I hate that word let’s call them finals) within your conference with the winner to take on the other conference winner in the Grand Final on the last Saturday in September.
