Topic: Golf Talk / Did Norman choke? Greg Norman overachieved in getting to the position he was in. The reasons for this are: He had a bad last round, but I believe it was not a choke, he just had a bad round, if it had been his 1st, 2nd, or 3rd rounds we would not have questioned his round at all. With his lack of practice it was bound to happen, especially on a course set up this difficult. Congratulations Greg on a great round, which was an inspiration to all golfers and a reminder that golf is a sport for people of all ages and different levels of dedication. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Tiger can he last the Distance ? I believe that Tiger will continue to play for the foreseeable future and he will be using the best possible medical advice and procedures. I think you may see less of him at regular tour events, but he will play all majors as soon as his knee is able. In other words I think he will manage his injury as best he can. Tiger is very ambitious and driven, that he will find a way to manage, although like at the US Open he has just won, he may be less than at his best, but we all know that Tiger at less than his best is potentially better than every other golfer at their peak. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Scott reaches world number three I think we need to be proud of Adam. He has done well over a number of years for someone so young and he is a humble champion. He plays well regularly and although he is frustrating at times, it is because he puts himself in contention frequently, and then suffers a few bad holes or poor round. Most other players aren’t in contention as often. Other players in the top 20 are not in contention as often as he is with the excption of Tiger and Phil. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Does your partner mind you playing so much? I’ve got three children, being 5, 2 and 2 months. I’ve arranged it so that if I do practice it is after the children are in bed, so I would go to the driving range after 7.30 about once a week. I have also arranged for my parents to look after the eldest two (The third is breast fed) one day a week when I play golf (generally Sunday). This makes my children happy, my wife happy (she gets a break) and my parents happy as they spend time with the kids, and it also makes me happy, so it is win, win, win. Its a great arrangement and I also have dinner with my parents after I’ve finished golf. I think that kind of arrangement works as long as it is a win, win scenario. If this wasn’t the case I would be playing very rarely. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Annual Membership Subs Ipswich is around $620 per year with no nonination fees. The front 9 holes have been sold and a new 9 is going in, paid by the developers. It is designed by Wayne Grady and should be available by November. It will have proper drainage, more water resources, a proper computer controlled sprinkler system with around 500 sprinklers and will have 80 bunkers (The whole course previously had approx. 30). The back nine is being remodelled as well. There will be temp holes in place for around 3 months and a new proshop is going in. The new course looks good and grass is growing now. All in all good value and only 45 minutes from Brisbane CBD |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Ebay rip off Boz Balls Hi Boz, I’m new in the forums, but I went to Indooroopilly Amart and purchased the X Pert balls and received the gift pack. It is a very generous pack with a very nice hat, five very good prototype balls and a very professional looking tee pack. All for the price of $49.95 I thought I would just give you some feedback and if other stores promote your product in a manner consistent with Amart Indooroopilly you should get a reasonable sales increase. |
