Topic: Golf Classifieds / Vokey 56, raw and coked - $50 This is the club itself. Not in as good nick as I had recalled, so price droped to $40. as I said, it naturally rusts up and can be stripped back with coke or brasso. |

Topic: Golf Classifieds / Mizzy MP-60 - R300 $450/trade As much as I love these, I just miss playing blades too much. I’m asking $450, or will entertain offers of a trade for a set of blades w/ R300 fitted. Set is 3-W They are 7-8/10 condition – the long irons have less wear than the short irons. It’s all normal wear, no missing chrome or anything. The only significant blemish is the mark on the satin in the cavity of the 4 iron that you can see in one of the pics. The chrome underneath is not affected. The 5i is 38” long and all clubs are gripped with Stargrip sidewinders, awesome grips – like Tour velvet only better! Two of the shfts have the tiniest amount of pitting, but it’s nothing that will affect playability. Pics below. |

Topic: Golf Classifieds / Vokey 56, raw and coked - $50 No worries. Just as a note, the coking does not remove the paintfill. That has been done separately on the above club. |

Topic: Golf Classifieds / Vokey 56, raw and coked - $50
The finish is as you can see above. It’s a rich blue/grey colour. That’s the colour of the raw carbon steel. The coking does not adversely affect the metal at all, and can be done time and time again. You just sit the clubhead in cocacola overnight and the rust and tarnish is removed. |

Topic: Golf Classifieds / Nike T60 15° w/ Fuji reg Hi guys, Could never really find room for this in my bag. Bought Feb 07, but it has only seen about 15 rounds, and used very little. Crown is so clean you could eat off it and even the sole is almost perfect. face just has a few scratches from hitting golf balls with some sand on them etc. Easily 9/10 consition, fitted with a reg flex Fujikura shaft and satin grip. Headcover is in mint condition. Asking $150 + postage from Sydney. Happy for pick-up if you’re in Sydney. |

Topic: Golf Classifieds / Vokey 56, raw and coked - $50 Raw finish is the carbon steel. Coke (the drink) leaves a great raw matte finish, removing all the tarnish. Then, if it is not cleaned and dried it will rust up nicely. Some people wrap a towel soaked in salt water around it to get a nice level rust on it. |

Topic: Golf Architecture / Expensive Resort Courses - Why do they do it? To answer the question in the thread title: because they can. The land, design fee, maintenance, staff, machinery… all costs money. $85-$100 for a game of golf at a top track is reasonable, IMO |

Topic: Golf Architecture / New Norman Track in Sydney Ashlar vote is likely next month, or maybe November, and the many new members who have joined upon hearing of the Stonecutters swap should ensure the 75% “yes” vote required is achieved. Stonecutters will not open until 2010, so the current Ashlar course will stay until then. Lynwood – the course at Pitt Town – replaces the old Kellyville GC goat track opposite the cemetary on Windsor Road that got eaten up for development. It’s a “links-style” course on the Hawkesbury flood plain – interesting! |

Topic: Golf Architecture / Augusta National, butchered??? Craig – that’s because what you said was silly. It’s funny to hear people say that Dr Al Mac and Bobby Jones would hate what has become of the course. Do these people have some innate knowledge of what the two would have thought about modern golf? They designed the course in the 30s for a game that is unlike what gets played on tour today. I’m not saying I think they would love todays ANGC (how would I know), but it’s perplexing to see people take their name to try and back up an opinion. |

Topic: Golf Classifieds / TaylorMade RAC Combos + two RAC TP wedges Yeah Henno, the MPs just feel right to me. Probably the good match of clubhead, shaft and grip (Stargrip sidewinders – I highly recommend them). |
