Topic: 2011 ISG Weight Loss Challenge
It has been quiet hasn’t Weetbix. It has happened the last few years as well, as daylight hours shorten so does the ability to get out (as is my case…) Came in at 99.6kgs this morning. Continual battle to stay under the ton. Need to go that extra mile I think to get down to mid 90s… Hopefully a few of the Momma’s will be keen to log back in and get the numbers moving again! |

Topic: 2011 ISG Weight Loss Challenge Thanks Wodda. Stalled for a while. I hope this is the start of another good run. How’s everyone else going – not a lot of weigh-ins being recorded. |

AB it’s one of my most practiced shots on the range simply because it’s also the shot I use to get out from under trees, I also practice draw/hook and fade/slice with these punch shots as being able to shape this shot is very helpfull when trying to advance the ball far enough so you have a shot at the green with your next stroke. |

Topic: 2011 ISG Weight Loss Challenge OK so it’s been a little time between drinks, but here’s an updated chart showing the progress so far. It’s been quiet around these parts as we’ve all been off doing things. As we roll into the ‘hibernation’ period of the year, I think we need to dig deep so we don’t undue all our hard work from the summer. Congrats to all those still weighing in regularly and I’m hopefully back in the swing to join you. Have just signed up with the Global Corporate Challenge here at work so have that added bit of peer pressure to keep me active. Was glad this morning to weigh in at sub 100s, as Easter and the UK trip were not kind to the scales… C’mon gang, let’s get cracking again! |

Topic: Allegingbows Journey That’s why we’re addicted. You can never win, only play. And we’re playin’ with ourselves. A good shot brings you back? “I lost my swing, Adele.” “Damn.” |

Topic: 2011 ISG Weight Loss Challenge Ok guys, I’m gonna jump on board. Just discovered this thread and some of the results are fantastic. I will buy some scales tomorrow and report my weight tomorrow night. Not looking forward to it, I’m guessing I’ll be in the high 90’s. |

Topic: Allegingbows Journey I’ve actually gone away from H&H because I was too inconsistent. But that was me, not the technique. As an example Phil talks about “Hold” not being some idea of locking your hands and wrists, but rather to just ensure the hands accelerate down the target line. What I was doing wrong was trying to push my hands straight down the target line instead of getting them to trace the line – I was trying to make the swing a straight line instead of an arc. I suppose it’s not surprising that the movement creeps into your full swing. It’s a bit of a challenge. That’s why I have gone with chipping and pitching the same as full swing. Not saying that that is the best way, just how I’ve decided to go. |

Topic: Allegingbows Journey Be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water mate. If you are getting to wristy then tone it down instead of dropping a winning formula. I had the same problem with H&H – because I was so focussed on what my hands were doing they were doing too much. I was either flipping them on the forward stroke, or I was “holding” so hard that I never released at all. Neither was a good pattern! Good stuff with the long clubs though. The reality of golf is that if you don’t go ok with the long clubs you’ll never score well. You can’t save an OOB drive with a good short game! |

Topic: 2011 ISG Weight Loss Challenge Good luck Ari I completed the BRW Gold Coast Triathlon last week. 56m 39s total time. Really happy with the result. Just under 14 min for the 400m swim leg, which includes the transition time of finding your bike (amongst 2500 other bikes!), drying, getting shoes and helmet on and running the bike out to the mount line. 22 min for the bike – 10km in 2×5km circuits – which includes getting the bike back into the transition compound and getting out to the run track. Just over 20 min for the 4km run. All these times I am pleased with. I was targeting 10 min for the swim, which I must have been reasonably close given what I suspect was a 3 min or so transition. Aiming for 20 min each for the bike and run, so was very close. Before the event I was thinking that I expected to finish under an hour, but would have to go well to get close to 55 mins. Well was pretty close, and I know I left a little in the swim and was surprised when I finished the run – thought I still had some distance to go. Hope you have a good time. I have to say it was a really well organised event, a beautiful day, and I really enjoyed it. Will do more in the future. |

Topic: 2011 ISG Weight Loss Challenge 92.6kg this week…..weighed in at 91.6 on Saturday morning!!! I might get under 90 after all. Biggest change is physical appearance and smaller clothes. Tried on a pair of size 34 jeans the other day but they were a tad roomy so will wait a few more weeks and see how the 32s fit. Never, EVER expected to wear 34s let alone 32s!!! I went to a wedding last weekend and several people had to take a second look before they recognised me!!! And I think I need to buy a new suit, I was wearing the one I got married in and it’s VERY baggy now!!! Was supposed to be going hiking this weekend in the Bogong High Plains but as it is snowing up there atm we may need to postpone!!! I still want to go just to prove to myself I can complete a long overnight hike!!! Hope everyone else is enjoying their weight loss journey…..I know I am!!! |

Topic: 2011 ISG Weight Loss Challenge I’ve been hovering around 93kgs last 2 weeks…..got down to 92.6kg at one stage but have not maintained it. Have had a couple of injuries that have not helped, the latest being a fractured toe….makes running a little difficult but seems to be healing quite well. Will weigh in officially again on the weekend. |
