Cliff, is there any topic that you are not an expert on? Or do you just like exercising your uneducated opinions on every topic?

Manu99, at the end of the day one in every 5 people on earth follow Islam, yet if there is one bad egg every follower becomes viewed as a terrorist! Islam is not the only religion that has extremists.
The majority do not believe that what extremists do is right, we believe that it goes against the whole religion.

Cliff, not that it is any of your business but I am a converted Muslim through marriage. So i might have done just a little STUDY of the theology…
The one thing that pisses me off about this whole thread is everybody’s attitute towards Islam. It seems that many people on here believe that Muslims are a bad people, when in reality it is just the extremists that use religion as an excuse that taint the image of the religion. Is that a fair statement?

No mate,
I have lived in Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei on and off for the majority of my life! So as for theology, I am sure that I would know a hell of a lot more than your average Australian.

Topic: Rules of Golf / More than two in a playoff group.

If the player was to tell his opponent that he could yake a 2-club length drop, would he have been guilty of giving false information? Wouldn’t this lead to a penalty for the player who gave the false information?

If true Sharia is excercised, a Muslim that is guilty of murder will be executed.
I don’t understand your comment about “mercy killings”?
What religion are you racin? There is no religion that I know of that allow you to kill people by the dozens without penalty?

That was a very interesting article racin, but i fail to see why people believe practicing Sharia is wrong?
Is it any different to Aborigines practicing their indigenous law in Australia?

That is one of the biggest loads that I have ever heard ditty! As racinfarmer pointed out it is a cult for stupid people. Also, Islam is not a spiritual religion, it is about your submission to God.
Just out of interest, how long have you actually spent in Muslim coutries ditty?

Racinfarmer, where in England is Sharia pracitised???
Have any of the people commenting on this thread actually lived in a Muslim dominated county? Or you all just going off what you hear from others?
Comparing global warming to a reglion is just rediculous Cliff, religion deals with the creation of life and the afterlife

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Hardest course in Australia?

A course which has small greens or blind uphill approach shots to greens may be hard to make birdies on but for any decent player wont cause too much trouble.

Interesting comment… I believe courses such as Shinnecock Hills, or Augusta do cause decent players trouble! Most of the course that players define as “hard” that are used for championship golf will have both smallish greens as well as many blind approach shots.
The other component that they have is rough. Not penal style rough (lost ball) but heavy rough which makes distance control and short game nearly impossible.

Look at RA when Chalmers won the Aust Open

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Hardest course in Australia?

How does everybody define hard?

Personally I believe that hard would be a course that required hitting many long irons into small multi tiered greens, or a course that requires many up hill approach shots where the player has little depth perception and will always struggle to get it close to the pin.

Places like the cut are not overly hard, they are overly penal as the slightest crooked shot results in a lost pill.

I dont understand why people love using technology? I remember Hank Haney saying that he had only ever put tigers swing on video twice in the entire time that they had worked together. Yet all you 20 handicapers want to see your swing?

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / Putter fitting..

Sure Mate

Face balanced will have their face point towards the sky when the putter is balanced on your finger. This is done through design. A face balance putter will have the axis of their shaft cross the center of the putter (think center shafted putters). If a face balanced putter is not center shafted it will either have a long hosel or have an irregular shaped shaft.
In a Heel toe putters the shaft enters is attached to the heel of the club. The purpose of this is the allow the clubhead to open on the backswing and close on the follow through. A face balanced putter aims to keep the clubface square to the target line througout the stroke.

Think Phil Mickelson in 2004. He switched between a blade putter (heel-toe weighted) and a Futura (face balanced).

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / Putter fitting..

Hi TWoods

Putter fitting in my opinion is far more important than iron fitting.
A good fitter should start with finding the correct model to suit your stroke. Some players (especially those who push the ball) will benefit more with a heel shafted heel/toe balanced putter. Other players will find they putt more comsistantly with a face balanced or center shafted putter.

From there the other variables are:
Length
Weight
Lie Angle
Loft
-Grip Type and thickness.

Hope this helps
