Topic: Golfballbusters Nah, never bought from squizzys. I got my balls today. Box of 200 titleists (non pro-v1’s). I had a hit of a few of them and was very happy with them. Definitely good enough to use on the course if you wanted to. |

Topic: Golfballbusters Yeah, sorry mate. Should have mentioned that I am only buying bulk standard quality balls for the range. I don’t have any experience with their higher quality balls. |

Topic: Golfballbusters I’ve bought from them before, and just ordered from them again. Couldn’t fault the quality of the balls. I was using them on the range, but ended up using a few on the course as well. Definitely recommend them. |

Topic: When should a beginner upgrade??? Peppas, usually people tend to upgrade when they plateau. That goes for golf clubs, jobs, cars, almost anything. There will come a point where you will feel there is more out there, there is room for improvement, and by your question you are probably looking for the next level now. One thing about golfer’s, we all like new toys, we all want the newest model, the longest driver, the best putter, in order to trim shots off our score and to become better. As you only recently took up the game your initial improvement will be more rapid than most, and the “gaps” in your half set of clubs will soon become evident as you become more consistent. It may be that you could take an intermediate step of buying yourself a cheap full set, rather than an expensive full set, and build up your skills with those, until now, missing clubs., or you may wish to bite the bullet only once, and get yourself a long lasting quality full set now that you say the bug has bitten. Perhaps your golf teacher is a good resource to ask as he’ll know the current state of your game and your existing equipment. So long as he’s not trying to sell you something, he should be able to offer you unbiased good advice. |

Topic: When should a beginner upgrade??? I would stick with equipment you have. If you want to spend some money spend it on lessons and balls at the range practicing. When you get to the stage when you can make contact consistently and have worked out how far you hit each iron (e.g 3=210m,5=180,7=155,9=120..etc.) then you might want to look into either purchasing a full set of irons or the ‘missing’ irons (i.e. 4,6,8,PW.) to bridge the distance gaps between the clubs. Until you can strike the ball consistently having extra clubs will be of no benefit. Goodluck. |
