Topic: Golf Equipment / Taylormade Knit Headcovers The best Pom Pom knitted covers are by a company in the US called Jan Craig Headcovers. I just had a set of Driver, 3 Wood, Hybrid and Putter covers delivered and they look AWESOME!! Very “old school”. They do take 6 weeks or so to come as each set is hand knitted. Here is the link: http://www.jancraigheadcove... Cheers |

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / Drop Kicking My Drives Any suggestions for why I may have been “drop kicking” my Driver and more importantly what I can do to fix it? Generally happens about 2-3 drives per round although they still seem to go relatively straight with good distance. I am currently working on trying to cure a fairly ingrained Reverse Pivot. Many thanks for any assistance! |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Good ebay seller for mizuno I will second the praise for Pete Dudgeon. I have bought 4 clubs from him now and his service has been 2nd to none. The Clubs arrived when he said they would, well packaged and significantly cheaper than buying them locally in Oz. Cheers Stephen |

Topic: Golf Talk / Describe your favorite shot from your last round. Last Sat at St Andrews Beach. Playing the 9th Hole into the wind, had about 140m to a very raised green. The Pin was on a very small plateau at the front that is almost impossible to get the ball to stop on. Hit a perfect 6 iron which pitched near the hole and stopped 4 feet away. Sunk the putt for a 3 for 4 points! To make it even more enjoyable I had Richard Green (playing in the group behind) looking on! |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / St Andrews Beach Richard Green has played at St Andrews Beach 3 times in the last 10 days and loves the place. He was a couple of holes behind me yesterday and I am pretty sure he shot 67 on what was quite a windy afternoon which was extremely impressive. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Golf in Bali The best course to play is Nirwana at the Le Meridian Resort in Tanah Lot. Absolutely AMAZING Greg Norman designed course. Half of it in the rice paddies, half of it by the ocean. One of the most visually appealing courses I have played. http://www.nirwanabaligolf.... You are right in that the rate is US$150. If you actually stay at the resort it then drops down to US$80 and some of the Room Packages include free golf. I am actually heading there in June and plan on playing a few rounds and would be keen for any other "angles" for a reduced price. Cheers |

Very interesting topic. I have a 35" Scotty Cameron Circa 62 which i feel is too long (it was the only length you could buy it in). Question, is it adsvisable to have this shortened by an inch? I had one person at a Golf Shop recommend against this. He said the MOST he would shorten it by is 1/2". I am exactly 6' tall. Any comments welcomed... |

Topic: Rules of Golf / Ball Stolen by Bird I recently spent 2 days playing at Barnbougle which was magnificent experience. A strange thing happened on the Par 5 11th Hole. I hit a very good drive straight down the middle. As my partner and I were about 100m from the ball we saw a Crow fly down and land near the ball. Expecting him to just fly off we got a huge surprise when it picked up the brand new ProV1 and flew off. Another Crow then tried to get the ball from the original offender and they both flew off into the distance never to be seen again!! After we stopped laughing i then dropped another ball and managed to birdie the hole! Question, should the incident have caused me a Penalty or was I correct in dropping another ball in the same spot where the ball was taken without penalty? Thanks in advance! |
