Yeah, reckon Westy’s lessons must have finally kicked in – something certainly did! (hope for me yet Chris!?)

As for the handicap, that’s good, want it down as isn’t that what we all play for really!?

Anyway, no doubt it will be back to reality with a bang this weekend!

BTW:- having a hit 9.30ish Thurs morning.

We usually play at least nine holes during the week and then in Sunday comps.

The weekday stuff is organised on the fly though……......

I am up at the Range once a week for lessons too.

I mainly play in the Sunday morning comp this time of year, but every third week I am able to play in the mornings on a weekday.

Well done for the weekend just gone, see you finished = 4th – dropped a bit on the handicap too!

Nice, if you don’t mind playing with a chopper we could catch up for a game at some stage……..

Don’t fret, I’m no better!

Do you only play weekends/Sundays or can you get out weekdays?

Common sense prevails. Old clubs that you like, new shafts that are fitted to your needs, you and the clubs working together, lower handicap, eutopia.

Ditto here…...

Yes, ‘fraid so!

Actually, looking back, I reckon I should accept the blame for this for possible/probable bad communication on my part!

I realise now some previous posts make it look like the fitters were lacking, but in no way would I want to give that impression, because, as The Fox has said, the guys up there are great.

Ok, have decided on a different plan of attack to this matter – I’ll combine OEM and custom fit!

I have a set of Titleist DCi’s, of which I like the heads, but the shafts are to much for me – stiff!

So what I intend to do is get suitable shafts to go with these heads – sound a feasible solution?!

Only slight problem is that I am gonna have top keep playing with what I have a bit longer though, as the Titleists at this moment in time reside a few thousand k’s away until I bring them back with me in ‘08 – but I can wait.

Now you’re talkin.

Definately an option, providing the head is something like you want/need…put some new shafts in, get the lofts, lies and swingweights checked… regrip and a polish and all good.

Like I have said before, they don’t have to be components to be custom fit.

You have to like what you are hitting.

Fair comment, and some of the problem.

I actually quite like either the Alpha RX2/RX1 with a steel shaft but have been handed the Responce with graphite shaft – and the Responce looks horrible IMHO!

Maybe that’s my level/capability, but I still hate the look of it every time I place it behind the ball so wouldn’t want to buy them.

Did you stress that to the fitter?

Nadge63 – It would appear you are looking for reasons not to buy components. Why otherwise would you commence another post to ask the same question put in a different way.

You like the X18’s, you want the X18’s buy em. If they work for you great. If they don’t, lose some money, sell em and try some components. If they don’t work either, maybe it’s not the clubs.

Ok, that’s four, and two of you build/sell them.

Buy the callys mate. I mean that in a nice way. You have to like what you are hitting. You like the callys buy them.

All customised to suit a 52 kg weed:)

Like Tim suggests OEM and components can be fitted to suit.

52kg is a lot of weed!
