It was great, for a 25000 sell out crowd they make a fair bit if noise..

We also sat about 3 rows back behind one side of the goals which being a raised ground had us just above ground level and when the shots same by good chance to get knocked out if your not watching, which was funny to watch ;)

Pre game we walked along the river from putney with the crowds and then back listening to the songs by the arsenal fans… Pubs were packed to the rafters and boiled over into the street..

Not being much of a premier league fan, i got the opportunity a few weeks back to watch fulham v arsenal at craven cottage, what an amazing experience, we sat at the hammersmith end with the die hard fulham fans and gee they let loose… Lucky to also have a chat and photo with Mark Schwartzer per game (which was his 500 th international) ..

Amazing and highly recommend to anyone if your up that way…

Look at the club like a business …

It has failed dismally … It owes money and continues to owe … Sentiments of history aside … Its time to say good bye to this club of the past and allow another team to merge with it or close the doors forever… Yes the club has been there for a long time, like and injured cat the needs to be put down because of its pain but the owner for personal selfish reasons holds on to the pet that is in dire pain.

Sell off what you can open a historical ground and building to develop the young and enjoy a prosperous MFC foe years to come not playing AFL. but surviving on government grants for sports development…

Put that cat out of its misery.

As for our current performance yes it does not cut it… Only the ignorant would blame buckley, coach can’t kick goals mate.. Our inside 50’s in some quarters is through the roof but no one to finish it or pop a valve to keep it in… The unfortunate thing is that other teams have lifted and want it more than us…

Yet in seeing that some of young which is lots of new blood come in already this season is lifting well… It is a long season this one with plenty of talent spread across the league though we will be there abouts come finals..

Moving issues with the brain.. After 6 holes being up i should have settled back and just play my partner for halves .. Could have kept the same as his drives with a good hybrid… But i went for the extra shot… Bad team play by me..

Anyway the brain didn’t have the sense to repair the damage as it was happening… On the 15 th par 5 i halved at even with a 7.. God who does that….

It is a can of worms Mekat , because someone comes it it does not mean that the community around them needs to change its all about personal bravery which was said earlier in posts..

Now having worked in commercial gyms for over 10 years i saw what was going on and opened spoken about by my fellow gay staff and friends, when. Straight guy they liked the look of would come in the gym a few would follow to see what he looked liked without the gear on etc… Head in the clouds if you think they don’t..

If legalities change in the future be sure you will see separate change rooms etc and disclosure contracts in school and workplace..

I guess you have never been to Melbourne baths or the likes…

Strength to stand up in adversity and to speak your mind regardless of others opinion is a good trait..doing it for a political stance is just a puppet show…

Is ok for a male to walk into a womans change room and just undress even if there is no physical attraction ?
Would a gay man feel different in that sense ?

A yes i would look at nothing that i find attractive sometimes longer than what is accepted..its the birds and the bees… And now the bears…

Team sports of physical nature like football, soccer and basketball has traditionally been a close team atmosphere where men change with men and woman with woman , and not because we font know what each others parts look like more for modesty of sex.

Does being gay change these boundaries does it become ok for someone that is attracted to the same sex get a free look for arguments sake ? Or do we move to not only protect the gay person but also the straight person and have separate areas, so rather than moving closer to equality we show that there aredifferences in bei
ng the same…

Would a camp male teacher be ok to address the girls netball side whilst they are changing ? Any more or less than a straight male teacher ?

Coming out like this guy did in the middle of a media hype might not help but cause more confusion and have added more pressure on young to ‘come out’ when they might not be ready to handle what parts of the community don’t understand yet.

Each to their own.. And no not against being gay but i have an opinion and it is still that this coming out other than being a brave thing to do is not really a step forward.

I guess most boys and girls going through puberty have had gay, lesbian, tri and bi thoughts or experiences.

Plenty if married men in late 1990,s and early 2000,s came out after having children in hetro relationships etc

5% might be reaching though… But ok.. Maybe in Australia ? 1.5 million people…

So now with Jason he has violated his team mates over the past 7 years by showering and changing with them or is it ok because he is male or is it not because he is sexually and physically attracted. by males…. Hmmmmm

He is not the first in the U.S, a soccer player came out a few weeks ago and a woman’s basketball player, soccer player retired at 25 when he came out but now will play again and the woman was not professional until this week…

Gaz i thought they were treated equally maybe not in 1980 at the lygon st park but today surely the ignorant are the minority..

Anyway the hardest part is yet to come for him with his new team if he is drafted..

Re teen gay suicide..

In the U.S real studies show that from 4500 teen suicides 450 might be attributed to sexuality issues not all being gay..

A poll also showed about 1% of the population was gay..

There are more Jehovah’s witnesses and look how they are treated..

This coming up other than being a personal milestone isn’t really much more than a push to legalize gay marriage in the U.S seeing the changes that just happened..

Saying that this will help our youth is also a little misleading in essence it might add more pressure to our youth..

There are so many more pressing issues in this world to worry about, more have died in Afghanistan over the past 5 years than gay suicide… I hope obama has called all their families…

I find it interesting that the need to tell the world has any relevance other than help the individual overcome his own hang ups about his sexual orientation.

Tiger should have come out and said he likes multiple partners, the world would have said aaaah ok now we understand… Probably would have received an sms from the first lady too …

We lost today 4.5 / 2.5.

I lost my match 3/2 miserable finish on the back 9, was 3 up through 6, then 1. Up on 10th… Down hill from there game said bye bye bye bye bye…

With 1 round to go in 2 weeks we want make the finals will finish third… Div 2 again 2014.

The Altona Lakes Golf Club scratch team will be taking on Ringwood Golf Club in a must win to stay alive game, 8:24am first tee i will be playing in at #7..

If you have nothing better to do at 8 am Sunday morning come down watch some of these guys play it should be down to the wire i reckon…

Had a round with a gun today and finished even, comp Saturday and ready for Sunday..

Hit a 100 9 irons yesterday from 10 to 100 mt.

Thanks Geoff biggest issue was that i was not getting many birdie putts but on upside didn’t finish more than 2 foot for par would have cleaned up the putting comp…

But to clear iphone the gorilla strokes you might have seen in the past, it all has slightly changed.. 9 iron max 130 now, 150 8 or 7 etc.
Though still bashing the drive as far as i can :)

Around the greens, when just off i have used 6 iron just to clear the green lip and get the ball rolling with success, and really practised hard rolling the putts and reading greens other than that its all a work in progress…

Will keep at it.

Round 4

Flew in Friday night, played comp (par) Saturday had -12. Was all over the place..
Sunday pennant. On the ball ..
8/7 played a guy who was off 19 .. Ended at 2 over, nailing the putts , driver was ok got it to the zone, all wedges short of greens bar 2, 1 bridge, 3 bogies, 7 pars ..

Team won 5/2. Sitting 3rd with 2 away matches against round 2 & 3 losses at home.

Saved from being relegated now battle to make final..

Must practice from 100 out more..
