The new and improved Golden Stubby trophy has been minted and is ready to go for the big day.

I’m led to believe that some have already got inside word on what the challenge is, and have been practicing on their visits to WV. Will be expecting big things from them.

Just remember all, after your round has finished keep your driver and 3 balls handy. Bit of fun and frivolity whilst the Committee boys do their thing.

Registration for the Golden Stubby Challenge will be before the round, when you sign in for the day.

playing new clubs in a compettition can mean one of two things

1 play really well with them like Francie did when he borrowed GPJ’s Mizuno’s at Langy (42 points)

2 or play badly and we all know what that orange option is..

just got off with him on skype and he is telling ms there is a huge front developing outside the heads and with the warmer than normal water precipitation is at its highest and it when will build up over point lonsdale , then move a across the bay through Saturday night and well he is saying Sunday morning when we get there and have had the indiscreet wipers working hard through the driveway we will know what’s going on, good news is its easing for Sunday night….

Terrific that changes the form guide completely as will now have to factor in to the betting those who play lots of golf on muddy clay belt course, look at last time they went well in wet (le Frogge) and hope i can still play well.
It is going to make Micks 13th hole challenge interesting if people cannot grip club because its slippery.

I’ll be your “smart phone” Smergs.

I’ve got the GPS pre programmed, a Rangefinder, a Depth Sounder, and one of those tracking devices that you can put on your golfball ……... (the ones you need to walk around after whilst waving the big TV antennae at it).

Just got to fit a couple of car batteries onto the Clicgear to power it all, as well as the odd solar panel, but I should have that sorted by Sundey!!

I’ve also charged up the laptop, and pre-paid for the live streaming of google earth to coincide with our tee off time, so I believe we’re all set to go ……..... oh, and so long as Johnny Millers’ plane gets in on time, we’ll also have live on course commentary as you slide in the first of your many birdie putts.

I’ll bring the divining stick mate to find the water hazards. That’s modern technology out west.

Most of the time the best way is just to follow the flight path of my ball though…
