Quickest way from the west is apparently down the Western highway, onto the ring road, up the Hume, right onto Donnybrook Rd, you’re there. Tick over an hour apparently.

But I reckon BMan and I might take the ‘back route’ across the high lands.

Francie, can you work something out so the Rozzers aren’t there? Might cut 10min off our trip…

gps is taking me eastlink, get off at ringwood bypass, then onto warrandyte ringwood road, to kangaroo ground/warrandyte road, then onto eltham yarraglen road, then onto kangaroo ground wattleglen road, then onto main hurstbridge road, then onto hurstbridge authurs creek road, then doctors gully road, then onto yan yean road, then onto authurs creek road, then right onto plenty road, then onto donnybrook road………...

you got that ok?

Francie, Hacky, GPJ,SS, me, 808 etc best way to frog is down east link off at bulleen rd onto bell street, then off at plenty rd. any way GPS’s in cars on phones are still legal for getting to course, but we wont go there.

Last time I went to the Frog, my gps sent me via all sorts of back tracks. I think it even bypassed Kangaroo Ground. But it did get me there. Tells me it’s an hour from here.

Pre-dawn on Sunday, there should be little hindrance to spirited progress.

played the frog today :

Greens like lightning, fairways hard and shaved and still recovering from muddy ground in areas, losing balls is soooo easy, i lost 2 (thanks stink) man i hit some great drives which would be great anywhere else, but at the frog 2 inches off the fairway and it pot luck finding it, play provisionals and keep your eye on your ball…..

anyway got all the crap out of my game with a 95 blah…my score is what the pies will win by tonight

for you guys travelling north on sundayf from the south and east and wishing to use burnley tunnels onto the tulla freeway

i suggest you guys find a alternative route as the tunnels are closed to 9am sunday morning

how was Waterford valley course didnt you play there not long ago.

Course was in pretty average nick CB.

Not terrible, but just average – I suppose a reflection of the weather. At least carts weren’t allowed on the fairways (which therefore made getting one pointless).

And I played like crap – so maybe that coloured my view of the course – but then the whole group had an ordinary day.

Bad enough to go for a lesson 2 days later.

Now PORTSEA, on the other hand – great course, played it on Wednesday, and played well. Fairways magnificent. 7 pars, which would be a record for me in a round.

The lesson worked.

how was Keysborough, the 17th in particular is it back as a par 5 or still a par 3.
