“Nice picture of Francie with his George Costanza wallet!”

“Freddie” fills it up a bit with the odd card. Definately not the money.

Finally made it home.
Thanks to all who made the event possible it was a real pleasure to come to far to play so sh!t. LOL.
Thanks to my group it was still a fun day of swearing, searching & missed opportunities.
It reminds me of a quote by Churchill…
Never in the field of human conflict have so many played for so long for so few…points.

Hopefully you guys can make it around Keysie before nightfall. I might even join you to find out.

Tim
thanks for coming over to make this our first interstate series and bringing some more of that great SA sunshine with you.
Thanks also for kind donation of hybrid, it was apprecated.

really hope you enjoyed yourself and Le Frogge, she is one mean course when wind blows.

We did tell you in lead up that his was a strong field full of quality players and the scores just reflect that and really show how we all ripped the frog apart.

not bad for your first OOM event, we will put that down to nerves, at least you didnt go home with an orange vest on but from what i saw on your score card you were well in contention for most of the day and just beat Stinkler and Acca home.
,
you and Dr hook played at Keysborough when you were here.
what did you think, how will this fine bunch of quality golfers go around there do you think..will 35 points win here or higher.
Is the Dr an early one to watch here having picked up some local knowledge from hacky.
really hope you can make it back again

No nerves. I just hit it like an idiot & had no luck when I didn’t. LOL.
Playing 3 days in a row & a 5+ hour round didn’t seem to do me any favours either.
We hit Keysie on the Friday & it took us 4 hours to get round as a 4 ball. It’s immaculately presented for this time of year. Best greens I’ve putted on for ages aside from RA.. You’ll need 40+ to win here I’d reckon especially with Hack having home course advantage. He could shoot the lights out. If he putts well he could hit 66. If he putts poorly he’ll shoot 75. You have been warned.
The Doc could contend if he works on his short game & watches the ball on the tee occasionally.

Actually Shrek, we were discussing the impact of the proposed carbon tax, and the likelihood that beer prices may go up as a result.

Seriously though, we were working out who to call first, the hospitals …......... the police …........... or Dr Bob Rotella …......... in order to locate our man Stink, (who as most would know went AWOL post round)

And yes, I agree Francies wallet could be used as hurdle at the next jumps meeting.

Oh, and it’s my turn to buy the next beer Goldy .. be it Lang Lang or wherever is next on our wandering minstrel golf show.

Timing is everything Rohan, as you would know.

As there wasn’t a prize on offer for that hole, I thought I’d play it conservatively and just sit back and watch you at your very best.

Now, if we had a prize for the “best played golf hole of the entire day by an individual” …..... out of the 72 individual holes played and witnessed by just our foursome ……..... you would have got three votes from your playing partners for the par 5, without question buddy.

482 metres Par 5 I believe. To be named “Rohan’s hole” at any future ISG Frog Days..

Driver, probably 250 metres, perfectly to the centre of the tight fairway (well past the fairway bunker), followed by a short wait for the green to clear.

Rohan’s club of choice for his 2nd shot I believe …. a lovely smooth hybrid arcing beautifully in the early afternoon sun and drawing in perfectly towards the green ……. the ball ended up right in the very centre of the green.

Rohan followed up those two brilliant shots the easiest of tap in eagles (and it was only a tap in) .......... stunningly simple and pure golf.

Best hole played that I saw yesterday, by the length of um …… your par 5 Rohan.

but they’ll never reach the par 5 green in two”
Longdrive Champion Vic ISG Round 3 OOM Growling Frog.

We have a prize for Rohan at next event for this effort an eagle 3, awesome stuff mate on any course deserves a prize, which we would have presented on sunday had this been brought to our attention. it must have escaped our avid scores and tallyers.
well done

Enjoyed the day, much more than my golf. Birdie start got my hopes up, followed by an ugly wipe summed up my round. Enjoyed the company on the course, lots of crap being slung at everyone. Survived meeting G-oldy, no 6 irons to anywhere on my person, and even more pleasing no luvin from G-.

Sorry I had to leave early due to the long drive, not as early as Nearly NAGA Stinkler though!

My birdie on 3 (par 5)
pushed drive slightly right on to a grassy koll
no sign of th kennedy’s
Now i have a rule for rough = 4i
so i went 3 wood,
aimed right as ball was above my feet and would come back to middle,
ball went straight
straight in to the rough.
Lefty, Bob, Francie & i spent 4:58m looking,
the cry goes up “Found it”
thanks francie.
So i have this rule for rough = 4i
so i went 5i
aimed left to miss the gum tree and run to the green,
smack,
hit the ball so well,
hit the gum tree smack bang in the middle,
ball came back to me,
so was 110m out in the rough
now i have a rule for the rough = 4i
so i grabbed a 9i and wooshka
landed on the green & holed out
4 for 4 thank.
you very much

Thanks to the organisers for putting up another terrific day. This was my second of hopefully many more IGS days.

Had a great time with playing partners Kiwi, Francie and 808 who i all met for the first time. Can see why they have won or come very close to winning past events. Francie is mr consistent and but for a few missed putts wouldve been right up there. Kiwi looked good for most of the day, juts had a bad patch on the back 9 which buggered his chances of a higher finish. 808 like myself struggled for much of the day but had his moments. As Francie mentioned, highlight of the day was definitely Kiwi’s biridie on the par 5 4th :)

Well Done on another great day guys. Well organised, well prized, well prepared and bloody well done. Special thanks to CB80 for a most enjoyable round of golf, well played mate. Commiserations to Oz and Russ for failing to score more points than the reigning NAGA..
Great to be able to pass on the vest to a deserving player, although it looked as tho the stunk was doing his best to pawn it. ACCA, wear it with pride mate, not everyone can win such a coveted piece of cloth as the vest of punishment.

look forward to seeing everyone down at Keysie for some sandbelt madness.

Cheers

MiCK

Alright, time for a recap.

Let’s get the hat doffing, back slapping, apple shining out of the way:

CB80, Oz, OB and SS congrats on another spanktasticular awesome day. Prizes, organisation, and just general all round brilliant performance by you four. Your support crew of Mrs Oz and Dave get ‘props’ (that’s what the kids do isn’t) as well for your help.

To my partners in crime BMan, Koioioim and ADavies, a brilliant and jovial walk around the course. BMan, as always provide entertainment, controvesy, talking points and plenty of laughs. Koioiooiom, hit it well mate, didn’t catch the breaks you needed. And yes, the bird crap incident was biggest laugh of the round. And without doubt, the best shot from any life form around the Frog that day (even better than Rohan’s 2nd into the 3rd hole). Just keep your mits off my parma! And ADavies, great to meet you, hear about the ‘other’ side of golf and have chat. If you get that chipping sorted, you’ll be on the good side of 20 quicker than Koioioiom ran for a towel to clean his arm…

But a great day it was out at Le Frogge. Blessed with great weather all week, I thought the course came up a treat. Sure lies were a little thin in places, but the greens were top draw and the rough was as penal as it needed to be.

To the winners, top effort. I think I said back in this thread I wanted 30pts to get a new PB at the course, so was very happy to roll through the last 3 holes into the wind and get 6pts and get my desired 30.

GPJ... I’ve got my eyes on you. I reckon I saw a little swift kick of the UV past the marker I set. But yes, back to the strong room… Either way, I think we got a bit lucky as the wind for us wasn’t anything like that the afternoon groups would have had to navigate down the 15th.

Kudos to Bully and Hagler for sitting around for 12hrs between when they finished and when the rest of us reprobates rocked up.

Either way, was a great day and great to catch up with some familiar faces, and meet a few more new ones.

Am hoping to back up for #4 and hopfully improve on the points tally, but I may be running short on leave pass tokens and might need to save them up for the end of year do.
