At the risk of turning into a mumbling mental wreck I thought I’d post up a couple of swing vids for you to look at Brad.

And these are both in relation to previous posts in this thread.

Firstly, I’ve always cast the club.
And I expect, have always come from the outside (something I’m trying to fix)

The reason for doing this vid initially was purely for my own use.
Just to see if I could get into the slot and not cast.

There are two swings in this first video.
The first one I would suggest is my ‘normal CRAP swing’
In the second one I am trying to drop my right elbow and increase angle.

It felt like I didn’t completely achieve it, and mentally I had a big problem during the swing that I wouldn’t get the club head to the ball in time.

However, after looking at the video I realised I couldn’t actually tell if that had improved.
So thought I’d put it here in the hope that you either have better software or can see my body position to advise if it has improved.

The second video was never meant to be.
But as I came on here looking to post I ended up reading comments on the flatter swing and I then watched your hitting it straighter video.

So I thought I’d go and try it.

Can you please let me know if I get anywhere near where I should be?

Both shots actually felt very consistent.

*Please ignore the fact that I open my right hip right up and throw it away again. I was concentrating too much on where to lay the club and lost the plot!

Stableford can be calculated after for that days event (for the hell of it), with the matchplay being the contest.

regardless of ability level, let me ask you this…..

say you are in a rough patch (form) over a few weeks and you have been constantly jerking bunker shot swings and sculling every one of them over the green, like along way over, into the water, trees, oob, lost balls. You land in 5 greensside bunkers a round and skull everything over the back. You are so familiar with the awful feeback the club gives you in your hands, you are so aware of your nervousness, you are so registered and tuned to the jerky, fast then slow then speedy , then dippy swing you are now finding yourself putting on the ball….

You are now praying NEVER to land in any greenside bunkers, ESPECIALLY, if is cut tight to the pin (short delicate one)....

Now, when you walk into that bunker your mind is already fecked. you are almost out of control of your ability to put a smooth, confident, planned and executed swing on it……and what happens? you jerk at it, thin it, over the back into the back bunker and round and round we go…

now, This is exactly how I was feeling pretty much 95% of every golf shot I hit on every hole, in every round for certainly the last 4 months or so…..

Imagine that, SCARED of hitting the ball!!!

over the ball, anxious, thinking about shanking, thinking about chunking,

Never for 1 second feeling the shot, seeing the flag, clearing the mind, and just letting it happen….

it was torture, mate. Even when I was scratch/+1 year and years ago, I always had form slumps, but I never had any mental execution issues with the game or on the course…..

To fall into mental execution issues when it’s go or “trigger” time, is something I would NEVER WISH upon ANYONE of any golfing ability level….

It can tear your heart, mind and soul apart on the course….

long, short, left and right = ALL FINGERED

Is the 9th hole anything like the 11th??? at Hidden Valley where you tried to hit the green in 2 and then played one from the water?

As in, there is pressure all the way up.
