Topic: Golf Classifieds / EOI - $100 Gift Voucher for Drummonds

There could be some sort of raffle site out there that does it for a fee… Good idea though.

Topic: Golf Equipment / Oakley Sunnies

I’ve tried wearing my M-Frames (with a 0.5 prescription lens) on the golf course and I found when I was hitting the ball, I would be hitting it really badly due to the distorted vision.

I think the issue with wearing the M-Frames on the course is that because the lens is so close to your eye (compared with other sunnies) the vision becomes distorted when viewing short distances (ie, the ball on the ground)

I’m currently wearing Ray Bans (polarized, no prescription) and these are fine. Likewise with normal glasses (0.5 prescription). I think I’m going to opt for another pair of Ray Bans next year once my health insurance gets reset :D

Footjoy DryJoys
Size 9W
$90

Bought these shoes from the US and found that they are too wide for my feet. Have not been worn apart from more than a few minutes inside the house.

Topic: Golf Equipment / Bending Wishon 321Li heads

Hmm, I am struggling to hit my hybrids. I thought it was the lie angle, and my other thought was it is the shaft.

I’m currently playing with Black Gold Reg’s up to 5i and in the 3 and 4 321’s I have a DG R300, and a Wishon Gi 335 in the 2 hybrid.

Would this make a difference?

Just read somewhere that this can be done with a metalwood L/L bending machine. Does anyone know someone who can do this in Melbourne?

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Woodlands - membership question

I haven’t seen that type of membership structure anywhere else, but I don’t see why you would opt for that. Once you are a member for over 2 years, you may as well have joined as a normal member (at Woodlands anyway).

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Non-playing membership restrictions

I’m looking to join a club, but possibly may switch to a non-playing membership after a while but still want to play the odd game of golf once in a while.

Are there usually playing restrictions for non-playing members – is it normal to have a maximum of 6 rounds per year?

Just wondering, because I (along with other users I’m sure) am not keen posting my email address on a public forum where it can be picked up by spam trawlers..

Topic: Golf Classifieds / EOI - Snake Eyes 600C heads

I’m looking at replacing my 600C heads with something else.

Currently got 5-PW but can get 3,4 as well if notified asap. Willing to part for $20 a head (but will not separate!)

Heads are in good nick, no face wear, usual bag chatter.

Any interest?

I’ve been to Clubtech, and despite being helpful and friendly, I don’t think they have the ability to be able to fit you properly using a launch monitor and all that.

On the other hand, if you specifically know what you want then they’re good.
