When can we change our squads? – I am going to be away from my puter for a few weeks and I’d hate to miss out :)

A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.

Anytime between now and the next event that Muntz decides we play in. Might help to wait for the rankings to come out on Friday though, just to make sure you don’t indadvertantly jump over the 10 factor for your squad and get DQ’d anyway.

I thought the rankings were allready updated? If not i’ll adjust my changes to the new rankings as soon as they are available.

What kind of people do you think make good greenskeepers? Any tips for someone that would be interested?

Our apprentice has just qualified and left for a position at Ballarat.

There will be a vacancy for an apprentice at Trentham soon. About 100km outside Melbourne, might be a long way to travel but apply if you are interested.

There was an apprentice position as a greenskeeper i was looking at, but it has been filled, i’m dissapointed because it was so close to where i live. Does anybody know of anything similar in Victoria? I’d be willing to travel and enrol into any relevant uni or tafe courses.

But I must admit, in a sport with so much emphasis on etiquette, dress codes and the like, I do find it weird to find people stopping to pee on a tree. I’ve never had to resort to this while playing in a group.

Are there any etiquette guidelines or explicit rules people have seen about relieving yourself on-course?

Very good point muntz, i can take a leak anywhere on the course, but watch out, there’ll be hell to pay if i’m wearing a hat in the clubhouse.

I’d be looking to pick up shots on the par 3’s. Also, I don’t think i would lose a huge amount of distance by not carrying a driver.

We’re playing in an Ambrose charity day this week. Have played ambrose a few times and enjoy it, but this time we’re out to win and not be also rans.

Any tactical tips or experiences you’ve had would be appreciated.

live4golf… my 62 Tattoo is of a score I had playing golf. 10 under it was and have never beaten it to this day. My goal is to beat it and I will get 61 put on my other hand.

62!? thats huge, if i had a 62, i would put it on my forehead. If i did the same with my lowest score, a 79, i’d probably get laughs when i told people.

Yep, I have 3 and 2 are visible. When I have played at “snotty” courses in events, some people look at you like a criminal at times. I guess they must be wondering what the “62” tattoo means on my left hand when I take my glove off to hit a short shot or putt.

I haven’t got any tatts, but i have two 12mm holes in my ears. Boy do i get some looks. Also have both tragus pierced. Anyone else scared of getting tatts but has piercings?

Impressed with the Bourne Series

I like my Asian Kung Fu – So Crouching Tiger, House of Flying Daggers, Heroes, Ong Bak, Zatoichi, Fighter in the Wind and of course Bruce Lee stuff.

Other favourites that I like to crank up on the surround sound system are Gladiator, Ronin, and Heat.

Have you seen Kung Fu Hustle or Unleased? Two of my favourite martial arts based films.

I mowed greens and changed cups at a course the summer after I finished high school. I just applied at the course with the grounds keeper. Greenskeeping really isn’t that hard to do.
