Call me a heathen and feed me to the Corgi’s Liz but Coffee is the 2nd most obnoxious smell I can think of behind cigarette smoke.

Disgusting stuff, never had a cup in my life and don’t plan to, just the smell makes me want to vomit.

So if you’ve never had one, and never plan to, how do you know it’s disgusting?

Understand where you’re coming from Brett. My wife is from the country and we’re making a good living in the city. One day we’ll pack it all in and move up to the country. I’m city born and bred and never thought that would be an option for me, but I can’t wait for the day we make the decision. If something like this was to happen anywhere near either of us, our bags are packed.

I hope this never happens near you or the miththith, fithy as it would mean you would be waaaaaaaaaaaay to close to QLD.

When i played at Spring Valley it was the total opposite i had about 40 members come up and introduce themselves and ask if i was a new member and also meet the president and captain that day. At the end of the day i was joining a golf club not a golf course and this is what made me join Spring Valley. I am very happy with my decision and haven’t played with a group where i didn’t enjoy my day.

I also found this. I was invited onto the course by a member to play during the Saturday comp – that wouldn’t happen too often anywhere these days.

We played with his regular partner and one other, but in the clubhouse there was same quality, createive banter and sledging – both among our own group and other locals as they passed our table. Really good atmosphere – and the chicken schnitzel burger was also classy!

Trust you to bring the discussion around to food.

I will recommend Pacific. As far as the too many members comments go I never have a problem getting a game and have not of heard anyone having problems. Oxley is a good track but I heard yesterday that they have taken drastic measures due to the drought and closed the course to mid week play. Redland Bay is in top notch nick but has far too many Peter Griffin look-a-likes. (Sorry PeteyG) Wynnum is also in good nick although a shortish course.
