Topic: The Lounge / How low can ACA sink If Channel Nine (and Eddie McGuire) had any class they'd remove ACA from the air immediately. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Home course advantage I could play my C-game (which ain't pretty, as most of you know) and still demolish any of you in handicap matchplay on the Old Course. The same goes for regular players on many of the quirkier links courses in the UK. As far as Australian courses go, I agree with Salicious Crumb. |

fall out of a playoff |

Topic: The Lounge / Things that annoy the crap out of me.... 69er, steer clear of London champ - there they can only dream of paying $52 (£21) for five spirits - I paid £19 for three pints of cider at a bar in Soho! And this place wasn't particularly flash! |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / If you cannot play TOC, which would you play? The New is probably the best of the rest at St Andrews, with the Eden coming in third. I wouldn't bother with the Jubilee - its very unpopular with the locals for good reason! Bland and tough. |

Topic: The Lounge / Is this legal or illegal? Uppy, to answer this question we really need to see his contract of employment and, in addition, the specific terms relating to sale of Product Y at the special price. However, its a fairly safe guess that Mike (the employee) is violating some provision in his employment contract. Likely grounds for dismissal. Prosecuting him under criminal law would be a stretch though. As for Steve, thr fraud angle might be possible, but the prosecution would need to show, among other things: (1) that the company made it clear that the special price and phone number was for employees only (from the facts Uppy has provided we can't be wholly sure of this) and (2) that deception took place - Steve will argue that because they didn't ask who he was, he didn't deceive anyone as to his identity! Probably a defence that would be defeated in court depending on (1). admin, do you know more about this case than the rest of us? How can you be so sure that laws have been broken? |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / NSWGC Membership It doesn't work like that mate - clubs don't allow members to nominate people they don't know. To do so would be truly moronic, as the proposer and seconder are responsible for the new member once they join. |
