Topic: Golf Equipment / divot tools So many people just don’t give a suff – an unrepaired pitch takes weeks to recover but a few seconds to repair. Helps fill in time if your partners take an age to line up their puts. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Vision Golf Ball Test Boz sent me some Fantoms a month or so back, and white and yellow Visions. Have previously used many different balls, latest being Noodles. I must say I didn’t really take to the Fantoms even though I was especially interested in the lower end of the market – felt hard and “clunky”, and lost them both over less than a round. Just love the Visions – now maybe it was that trialing these made me work harder at the game, or concentrate more or whatever. I just found myself hitting straighter than ever, with much less slice then ususal, though sadly not totally eliminated. Distance no worse, maybe a little better but I am never a long hitter. Short game improved by 50% and putting very straight and true. The UV Visions are just about impossible to lose unless you hit them OOB or in the drink (2 have gone that way – only lost one in general play over about 4 rounds, usual rate maybe 2 per round). Have never consistently got so many rounds out of a single ball. Combination of easy to see and find and straighter hitting. Now hat I need to learn is how to hit any sort of ball out of a bunker! The UV Visions look like being the ball for me – have found a half dozen at Rebel for $25 – they have lasted much longer than ever before. Thanks Boz for the opportunity to try them out. Whether it is actually the ball or the trial I don’t really know or care for that matter. Just much more confident. Won’t be buying as many as before, so worth the little bit extra as far as I am concerned. |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Woodlands Vs. Southern Vs. Spring Valley Have just tried Woodlands and Spring Valley – both lovely courses, Wooldands more challenging to me and more “atmosphere” on the course. SV a much more wider and open layout which may appeal to some. SV great clubhouse facilities; W’lands about to update. |

Topic: Golf Talk / joining a golf club in melbourne Woodlands??? Seems to have reasonable entry and annual fees and they actually put on their website that there is a ?3 month wait. Anyone played there?? May not be as ‘exclusive’ as RM KH or Metro, but looks a good course. |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Woodlands - membership question I am also looking at Woodlands – one attraction is the very short process and waiting time compared to the more ‘prestigious’ sandbelt clubs. I have heard from peolpe who have played most of these that Woodlands is very much towards the top. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / airxtreme drivers Does anyone here have any first hand knowledge of the AirXtreme drivers?? They claim to add plenty of distance esp for ‘seniors’, but sound too good to be true. /www.xfactordirect.com/airxtreme.htm |
