Rightio, officially booked in now….. Details as follows:

(Commish, maybe you might want to put this info on the first page under your first post’ to stop everyone whinging later??)

Green fees is $50
to get a cart is $40
They obviously have a range of different foods for after we’ve finished, but a chicken/beef burger and chips is $10. But if you wanted something else on the day there’s plenty of choices.

Is there anything else anybody would like to know, other than the draw??

If sellers have ridiculous prices quoted on their pages it is worth messaging them and asking, sometimes it is automated by ebay I think and incorrect, $50 for an adapter is ridiculous, should be able to go into a prepaid envelope in the least.

But yeah if you can switch them out yourself, all good. Do you just boil the adapters/shaft end in water liptout? Then just epoxy back on?

I’ve seen it done that way with the boiling water Kerbox, but haven’t tried it myself to be honest.
I just use a shaft extractor mate, piece of piss that way…...

Bwahaha, that was me Lippy. I rang them earlier today to find out if they were free and made a tentative booking at 9am just to make sure. Can cancel if prices don’t suit : )

Couldn’t have all the threats of Asquith come true : P

They were going to send me some prices etc that I can pass on if you like so over to you Red Leader.

This space for rent.

Ahhhhh, nicely done….. Well played.

But the Department of Defence?? Where the hell did you pull that one from, haha.

Heard the place was booked out, has anyone called to check availability?

What kind of motley crew runs the Sydney day, honestly :p

I just like golf

hhmmmm, you got contacts Pepps??

ok, went in an hour or so ago and heres the deal:

for July 5th, apparently the Defense Force has 5 groups booked from 9am. they would most likely be finished around 9:40am i’d reckon.
nothing after them, and nothing before them, so other times are free to be booked.
the weeks both before and after the 5th are free and can be booked for anytime.
green fees are $50 for the round not including cart. carts are $40.

didnt bother asking about the feed for the time being, figured i’d wait for that bit till ‘we’ get the all clear…....

The sellers of the adapter in the states are charging $30-40 but want upwards of $50 for postage to Australia. UMMMMM, no thanks. I am trying to source them elsewhere, waiting for a few emails to be returned.

Lipt, the black KK is still a good shaft. Obviously depends on the loading but you will probably find it is really easy to swing. Out of curiosity what driver/shaft/loft are you coming from?

“Wooosaaaahh”

Yea, I ain’t paying that kind of $$ for an adapter when I can reshaft this one in about 5 mins if needed.
If you do source them elsewhere, let us know cause I’ll be in.

My go-to driver lately has been an 11.5 R9, set up at 12 (so has a slightly closed face as well) with an X stiff ‘Fineone T3’ shaft in it.
Very reluctant to move away from this driver, cause its a flushing machine. Hoping I can set the covert up kinda the same and get some more distance with the hotter face of the Nike.

Is a discussion here about getting them from a certain ebay seller for $35,

http://www.thehackersparadi…

How on earth did you get a Covert for nearly not much more than $80? Or figure of speech? :)

Haha, just a figure of speech mate…...
But with the amount I had in vouchers, and the pretty cool discount they gave me for taking 3 months to get it too me, I didn’t end up too much more cash than that anyways. :)

If it wasn’t gona cost $70-80 to get it delivered, I prob would kerbox. That’s nearly more than I payed for the driver in the first place!!

I only got the black one Bushy, wasn’t gona bother upgrading it (especially considering how long it took to actually get it) cause I’ve got enough shafts I like at home….
I’ll give it a crack with it in it this weekend, it ain’t gona hurt…

pfft!!
Set us a challenge Captain…...

Oh, and for what it’s worth, it would take me less than that actual 10mins to get to the course….... And prob just on 10 for Commish to get there!!

;)

Yea, everyone seems to rave about the Kuro, haven’t really heard anything bad about it…....

It’s just I’ve got sooooo much love for my ‘fineone’ shaft. But stuff it, your right… I’ll give it a crack first. :)

Sooooo, my Covert finally turned up…...

Question if I may:
Is it worth having a hit with it with the Kuro Kage shaft it came with, or should I just bite the bullet and throw my favourite shaft in there??
Won’t be playing for a week, so got a bit of time to change it over.

This ball was a cracker!!

I think I was a very, very lucky little boy, cause I got to try 2 different versions of it…..
Cover cut up more than the PT ball, which is expected with the cover, but prob not quite as much as other premium balls.
certainly had some spin in it though…..
(wouldn’t cut up like that now with m new irons though!!)

Project X PXI 5.5
Or
