Topic: cleveland cg10 wedges Mate bought a set of Cleveland wedges, $150, he hit them good, 9 hcp, and did not know that they were fakes until I showed him that the shaft was a 2 inch stepdown, that is used in cheap sets. The stepdowns in orignal shafts are closer than that. As others have said, most would not know so let the buyer beware. |

Topic: cleveland cg10 wedges Every so often the major golf manufacturers work with customs and police to publicize the seizure of counterfeit gear .The internet is full of sites in China selling top brand names(fakes) for a fraction of the oem prices and it’s surprising the oems don’t take a more pro active stand on them rather than their half-hearted occasional action.Passing off fakes is illegal. Many clubs on Ebay are genuine but some are factory seconds with minor faults which the legitimate seller will disclose if you ask the right questions.Recently I saw some Yes putters advertised where the grips were in reverse colour to the genuine ones..That seller hasn’t been seen since. But pictures don’t always tell the right story, a real crook will post pictures of genuine clubs taken from oem sites and claim they are pics of the fakes he is trying to sell |

Topic: cleveland cg10 wedges If you think they’re fakes, why not just buy three wedges out of the bargain bin at your local Golf Super Discount Mega Mart? Do we want to encourage knockoff manufacturers? |

Topic: cleveland cg10 wedges Bought myself a set of three cg10 wedges off ebay about 3 months ago for $180, probably fake to, but hit them really nice, preform just fine and i could not be happier with them. So would line up and pay $180 again every 12-18 months, rather than pay 600 odd bucks to drummond. I could go through 3 sets for the price of 1. |

Topic: cleveland cg10 wedges fake golf equipment on ebay is getting out of hand spoke to the yes putter rep in canberra on weekend and he said they have had that many putters returned for warranty that were purchased off ebay and they were all fakes so they are now putting serial numbers on head and when purchased from retailer the retailer gives yes your details and you receive a certificate validating its genuine and a free t-shirt , regarding cg-10 wedges off ebay my mates bought some 6 in total and they were all fakes seller was 100% but they already left feedback bottom line is alot of guys have fake clubs but dont know it i still think its best to buy off retailer you get warranty and you know the club will be genuine . |

Topic: cleveland cg10 wedges yes they are cheap….they look real…ask the question, if I can prove these are fake will you refund my money selling something as real when its fake is against the law…believe me i play hardball when buying off ebay, I say to them you sell me fake gear when you says its legit I will call the police if you dont refund my money….you soon weed out the fakers out there pretty quickly…why because they dont message back when you ask that tough question |

Topic: shaft length Wood length is generally measured to the base of the heel of the clubhead, not to where the shaft enters the hosel. Therefore different hosel designs make no difference to shaft length (they can make a difference to how the shaft plays though) |

Topic: shaft length Not sure what you are on about. If they are pretty new sticks the clubs will most probably be 45” long in total when measured at a 60º angle as per the PGA system. |

The packaging sounds ok. Price is excellent. Check the size of the Cleveland engraving on the sole of the club, that was the give away for my irons. However, if you did a side by side comparison and couldn’t tell the difference, then you probably have bought the real thing….. |

Topic: cleveland cg10 wedges
Got the wedges today and I believe they are the genuine article. I cannot see any difference to the wedges at Drummonds or the House of Golf. and also feel the same at setup (very solid). Shafts are Dynamic Gold wedge flex with Cleveland wedge stickers. Grips are stock Cleveland grips with 4 black Cleveland logos and one white down the back plus the white Cleveland print on the front. The heads and grips were shrinked wraped. The grip shrink wrap had a red tear line (perforated) with the words tear here printed on it, so if anyone is familiar with stock Cleveland packaging please give us your view on this part. At this stage I am more than happy with the $129.99 + $19.95 postage for the two DSG 588 wedges. |

Funny you should say that. I carry 2 pw’s in my bag, 1 Taylormade RACos2 (genuine) and 1 Lynx Predator which although being old and scratched up, I got regripped and use for a gap wedge. The Lynx cost me $15 and came with 8 other clubs, it’s great outta thick rough. The TM I use mainly from 20-70m out. |

Topic: cleveland cg10 wedges I picked up a Cleveland CG10 60 degree wedge and my mate has a copy ($30 from the public golf course pro shop) and he says that he can’t feel the difference. I suppose it’s just a confidence thing when you have it in your hand…I got mine for free with my new set – I don’t think I’ll be paying $200 for a wedge. |

Topic: cleveland cg10 wedges
There is hope yet for my purchase! :-) I didn’t get my delivery today (very dissapointed) so I will have to wait till next week to report back on the 588 DSGs, but I did go into the House of Golf yesterday and studied up on their display wedges, I hope this will assist in varifying authenticity. The thing is they were being sold for $195 each so I got mine for %60 off (only if they are real). Going into the store also debunked other websites methods of varification which I have read up on, some say legit Clevelands have a white filled groove on the leading edge etc. The wedges I looked at yesterday didn’t have such a groove. |

Topic: cleveland cg10 wedges asked a dude today at drummonds as why these guys can sell them so cheap “the cg10 that is” and couldnt of asked a better bloke. he stated that “who knows what you are buying these days?” all he knows is the cleveland gear comes through a supplier in queensland and where they get them from is no-ones knowledge. he also stated he had some new taylor made burner driver in the shop recently that some guy had bought in to verify wether it was real or fake and it was the real deal, purchase price $250 from ebay. so whose to know if and what they say is true to what you are buying even from retailers. |
