Topic: Golf Equipment / Hi-Bore XL.

For $100, you can afford to get a new shaft!

Pickups on Ebay are usally bargins, they always seem to be in the middle of nowhere!

Apparently, the 10.5* RH XL is banned, only that loft and only right hand. very odd ay.

I have a 10.5 XL and it was non-conforming but there was a rattle inside the head and i sent it back to cleveland who replaced it with a conforming head. The only way to tell if its conforming or not is to check the conforming and non-conforming list and it explains everything.

By the way its a great club to hit, i believe one of the best sounding drivers on the market

Topic: Golf Equipment / HYBRID

Hey all!!

I am looking to buy a hybrid,

i had a hit of the Cleveland Hibore XLS 3i 22 hybrid and the Titleist 585.H 21 both had stiff shafts,

i found i hit longer with Hibore and both were straight and i could work a fade or a draw quite easily.

I would like to hear your thoughts on these to clubs or any other hybrids that would replace a 3iron

Thanks
Nick

Topic: The Lounge / Great Comebacks

Golfer: “I’ve played so poorly all day; I think I’m going to go drown myself in that lake.”
Caddy: “I doubt that. I don’t think you could keep your head down that long.”

Golfer: “I’d move heaven and earth to be able to break 100 ”
Caddy: “Try heaven,” advised the caddie. “You’ve already moved most of the earth.”

Golfer: “This is the worst golf course I’ve ever played on!”
Caddy: “This isn’t the golf course, sir! We left that a half hour ago!”

Golfer: “Well, Caddy, How do you like my game?”
Caddy: “Very good, Sir! But personally I prefer Golf.”

Golfer: “Well, I have never played this badly before!
Caddy: “I didn’t realize you had played before,Sir.”

Golfer: “Caddy, Do you think my game is improving?”
Caddy: “Oh yes, Sir! You miss the ball much closer than you used to.”

Golfer: “Please stop checking your watch all the time It’s distracting!”
Caddy: “This isn’t a watch, Sir. It’s a compass!”

Golfer: “Caddy, do you think it is a sin to play golf on Sunday?”
Caddy: “The way you play, Sir, its a crime any day of the week!”

Golfer: “This golf is a funny game.”
Caddy: “It’s not supposed to be.”

Judge: “Do you truly understand the seriousness of things when you swear and state an oath?”
Boy: “Do I ever, your honor! I once caddied for you!”

Golfer: “That can’t be my ball, caddie. It looks far too old.”
Caddy: “It still could be; it’s a long time since we started, sir.”

Golfer: “Do you think I can get there with a 5-iron?”
Caddy: “Eventually.”

Golfer: “You’ve got to be the worst caddy in the world!” he screamed.”
Caddy: “I doubt it. That would be too much of a coincidence”

Topic: Golf Equipment / Nike CCI cast irons

I have recently bought the CG Reds (christmas present) they are great clubs alot of feel, and workability. You can really feel when you plum it, and also if its not quite out the middle.

Have a good hit of them when you go. Also have a hit of the CG Golds aswell.

Topic: The Lounge / What Car Do You Drive?

hey car junkies

cant remember which is which
the power in Kw means the ‘pull’ capacity (eg in towing ) and the Torque means the overtaking capability, right ?
correct me if i m mistaken or far out…..

If Tiger plays Lefty will he be that good ?
You sure Square is Good ? Don’t Think So !
Good Golf is Fun plus the Great Outdoors…
In the Bag: Clubs and Balls. My Handicap is Bad Golf.

Your real close but its the other way around, an easy way to remember is that torque is what you feel pushing you into your seat when you put your foot down

Topic: The Lounge / What Car Do You Drive?

I have to behave, I believe they have pushed the Barra i6 up to 195kw for the Falcon and XR6, the XR6T gets the FPV 270kw Turbo and the XR8 gets the BOSS290 from FPV….we won’t see what FPV are putting out until May but it is rumoured to be a 320kw BOSS. I haven’t seen any torque figures as of yet.

I dont mean to pick through details but the new XR6T doesnt have the FPV engine, the figures for the FPV turbo 6 has 270KW and 550Nm, the new FG XR6T has 270KW (which Ford says is a coincidence) and 533Nm thats the big give away, but in saying this the new XR6Ts engine is lighter.

But be on the look out for the GT to be 320-325KW and the F6 300-310KW

I cant wait!!!

Topic: Golf Equipment / Cleveland HiBore Drivers

I have the Hi-Bore XL 10.5 in fuji stiff also have 3 wood and 5 wood in stiff fuji. The clubs are great very distinct sound which is great!!! they are long and you are able to work the ball well, but the driver is very forgiving with a huge sweet spot.

Currently my father and i are about to purchase an Eleanor.

Topic: Golf Equipment / Looking for a new high class Putter

Im drooling over all of these suggestions, thanks alot to everyone

Why don’t you try having one made for you, custom fitted ?
You can have a ball picking the head design and then go through the process to have it made to your specs.
Some really funky putter heads to choose from atm.
Nothing beats a one of a kind, original putter.
Jon…

I was considering it but the costs seem too much, but ill try anything once!!! But seeing as there are so many head designs to choose from i would find it difficult to choose just one, maybe 4!!!

Topic: Golf Equipment / New driver needed

I would have to suggest the Cleveland Hibore XL with a 10.5 degree loft, i demoed quite a few drivers before i picked the Cleveland it just felt like an easier club to hit plus if you want something brand new try the new Hibore XLS or the Wilson Spine drivers
