Happy birthday Manu you old bastard.

60’s a good age, have you retired?

Topic: Golf Talk / Disappointed with Rockbottomgolf

manu99,

You posted about a hybrid costing $250 or something from your local pro in another post and I said you were getting screwed on the price and you are and you are now posting about RBG and you would purchase from them at anytime in the future? What is happening here mate?

I stated that most of my buys from RBG had been good. One bad had been rectified.

In my other post I asked about the value of a particular club. The club in question RBG do not stock. I enquired about its cost else where.

Nothing is “happening here mate” just joining in the discussions.

I have bought a lot of stuff from RBG. Only once have I had a problem. They missed one shirt from an order of 5.
I emailed them a few or more times , no response.
Then I gave them a blast. Sort of get of your fat lazy arse thing.
it worked.
I would buy from them at any time in the future.

Just a bit of self indulgement here.
United have released their European strip. The shade of blue that we won wore when we won the European cup in 1968.( the year after Celtic won theirs)
I was there I bought the shirt I know it well :-)))

Being a “blue” Man Utd fan I’m hoping for a home and away win against the “Hoops”. ;)

Greg Norman, proof that lots of sex before a major competiton is good for you. ;)

Being a United fan with Celtic fondness, I hope they come second in our group. Many fond memories of Celtic. They were the first British club to win the European cup.

Topic: Golf Equipment / Cobra Hybrid

Hi I am looking to buy a cobra baffler DWS to fit in with my Cobra S9 irons. I use senior flex irons from 5 up.
thinking of a senior flex 4r DWS. My local pro is charging $259. Is this fair price or are there any better around?

United with 60+million pounds of strikers need Fletch again to give us the points.
Fletcher has been maligned so many times in the press and by fans comments. His 4 points will be worth millions come mid may.
United need a striker. Berbatov will fit the bill.
Rooney and Tevez will feed of his style of play should work.
When Ronaldo comes back it may give SAF a few selection headaches.

Topic: Golf Equipment / Hybrids replacing Shorter Irons

I have just sold a set of adams A2OS. My set was a senior set going from 4&5 hybrids. 6&7 transitional hybrids. Then 8 to sand normal irons. I liked the 4 and 5 but the 6 and 7 could not get used to. Replaced them with a set of senior cobra S9 5 to sand. I will get a 4 hybrid to go with them, but a hybrid higher than 4 or 5 not for me.

. Arsenal will play fantastic football all season and get shafted by referees and unfortunate injuries. .

There it is:
1st: Chelski
2nd: ManYoo
3rd: Arsenal (could lift the trophy if things go right)
4th: Not Liverpool (not sure who though)

United couldn’t repeat their usual demolition of NUFC.
Not over stressed here .United took a few games to settle last year. Trouble is Chelsea and their new manger and attitude will be hard to chase down later.
Chelsea great first day win. Hope it’s just the excitement of new toys. I always play great with new Golf Clubs;-). Man city big loss to Villa That suprised me, a little. I have a soft spot for my old neighbours. I thought they would do better with Hughsie.
Blackburn winning at Everton was a shock for me. The new boys Hull beating Fulham not a suprise.

just back from a quick couple at the pub. just read the postings.
for my two bobs worth. Manchester United will take some knocking off their perch.
With three major bits of silverware on offer United to take two of them.

Now down to reality.
Chelsea spent loads and more to come. Eventually they will dominate. Not this year.
Liverpool still not too sure which way they want to go.Buying a few players, but non that will make any difference. Keane forget him. he is not good enough for Liverpool.
Arsenal not big in the buying department, but never underestimate Wenger. Pound for unit price of silverware he is the boss.
Then the mighty ManU. Did I tell you I have supported Man U for 52 years now?
There are others, but not this year. Spurs will take two or three years before they will be able to take fourth spot. Manchester City the same even if Mr Sinalot stays with his money. Villa no way. Newcastle no way.
Everton missed their chance last year.

my top 6.
Manchester United, also at least one other major trophy.
Chelsea. with one major.
Arsenal
Liverpool
Spurs
Manchester City

Styles got this one going early. lets make it the biggest topic this year.

Topic: Golf Talk / Driving distance

I am not a big hitter I guess I drive around 200 average, maybe a little more. Having said that I out drive a lot of guys I play with and also see playing my course.
I do play some times with big hitters they beat me by maybe 30 but thats all.
I think there is a lot of overestimation when it comes to driving.

Topic: Golf Talk / Senior Flex?

I did once read that if you hit your 5 iron 150 and up reg is for you. 150 and less you should try a senior flex. I have tried both and find the senior more to my liking. If you are around the 150 I think its a personal thing.
On the cobra website they have a club fitting page. Asks all question then come back with recommendations.
It uses the distance of your drive to work out the flex. On a good day I should be reg flex on a poor day senior is for me.

so u r in between flexes

a hard call sometimes

If Tiger plays Lefty will he be that good ?
Square is Good ? Sure is, if it’s the right stick !

No I have decided on the senior.
Big 60 in three days, figure I am not getting any longer, if you get my meaning;-) I just bought a set of Cobra S9 irons tried out the regular and senior. No difference in distance, but the seniors felt nicer to hit. Arthritic joints also helped by softer flex.
