Topic: Golf Equipment / Should there be a standard? I will now be using my most priced coin I have. About 1/8” thick, Shiny Gold, and enough to make other curious on what it says and who the coin is from. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Should there be a standard? From the sounds of it you can use anything as a ball marker. Put your wedding ring down there, use your Susan B Anthony coin, use a rock, sounds like anything will do. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Regripping technique Okay, I have been reading this and still not quite sure how you all are getting the grips off. I have some Callaway Pro Series grips and they are on there good. Please explain step by step and tools required to remove old grips. That way I can use them on my sons clubs. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Should there be a standard? Why not just grab a rock from the nearby tree line. Ofcourse alittle bit of golf courtesy prevails. But if you not the player to care said issue, and you strickly play by the rules, you wouldn’t be wrong. My point is, some ball coins are large. Not only that but they are bright silver, somewhat distracting on a sunny day when your trying to but and a marker is near your line. Yes, ask politely to have the other players marker moved and hopefully he will. If you don’t ask him then I guess what your saying is, its your own damn fault he has a 1/4 inch thick ball marker. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Golf Club Extension Considering this is a DIY project, I was hoping to have someone give me a site that has steel shaft extentions for sale. I really dont want to reshaft. Worse case I buy some old clubs, but off the upper portion and then have some small clubs for my daughter. |

That is exactly the putt I was talking about. I couldn’t remember his name but he had a long lag but with the ball marker slowing his ball, it turned out to be a bad experience. I couldn’t believe it. |

Topic: The Lounge / Trusting your GPS System too much GPS….over rated, pricey toy. You pay upwards of a couple thousand for one in a new car and a few weeks later it only adds 2-300 dollars when selling a car. Even a Tom-Tom can screw up a simple route. |

Topic: The Lounge / Golfing in IRAQ. Did anyone else have the opportunity to take their clubs to Iraq and hit some in the desert sand? I bought a cheap set just of the Occasion. When the sand is 140 Degrees, it really stinks picking up the balls you just hit. And the balls seem softer then usual. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Blades Blades are nice but any mishits feel like your hitting a 100MPH fast ball on the handle of a bat…..Ouch. I will stick with cavity backs that alittle more forgiving and have less vibration on misshits. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Should there be a standard? I have seen to many times, even a couple days ago on the PGA when someone is putting a good distance to only have his ball roll over a 1/8” thick ball marker coin. The ball looked like it was 4 wheeling on the green and its course was severly altered and slowed. Shouldn’t there be a standard implimented? Everything else has a limit or standard (Club Length, Size etc.) |

Topic: Golf Talk / Golf Lessons, never had one - what to expect I was thinking about lessons to but after playing for 15 years and golfing in the low 80s without a lesson ever, all it takes is a recorder, time at the range, and more time at the range…...and my game just keeps on improving. Yes I am scared of what a “Pro” would say, Beside DAMN YOU HIT THE BALL LONG! grinning |
