Topic: Golf Talk / Callaway court injunction against Titleist Does this mean anything for the average club golfer in terms of availability or cost of Titleist (or for that matter Callaway) balls? P.S. this is my 100th post. Only what, thousands off the rest of you… |

Topic: The Lounge / 4th test there seems to be a bit of sour grapes in this thread – An Australian team that is rebuilding after dominating for so long played an Indian team at its peak (which will have to rebuild soon too) on home soil and were outplayed, end of story. |

Topic: Golf Classifieds / Never used Bridgestone J33 Trapezoid Muscle Back PW - $100 Hi. Up for sale is an unused Bridgestone J33 PW. It comes from the Forged Combo set; and as such has a trapezoid muscleback design. I have never used it as I already had a PW i was happy with when I bought this set. It has a True Temper Dynamic Gold R300 Shaft. Pick-up sales only, I live in Brisbane’s Eastern Suburbs. |

Topic: The Lounge / Advertising reaching boundaries haven’t you all got yourselves worked up over nothing? No one said the Phuket ad should go down, but you all seem to be acting like they have, almost a preemptive strike on your PC enemies. I’m not trying to cause trouble, I just find it suprising that we go from “hey look at this funny ad” to “ha that’s funny, i bet someone wants it taken down” to “oh those bastards always wanting things taken down!” so quickly. |

That’s a win for the breast cancer foundation then – got you talking about the pink shirts. But yes, you are correct in saying they are not that easy on the eye |

Topic: Ask Bruce / Pro's dress codes This is a fairly silly and unimportant question, but I’ve always wondered why all (male) Pros on tour where long pants. Is this a dress code? or simply they all prefer to. While I’m at it, why do all caddies carry those huge tour bags? Would I be right in thinking they are not allowed to use a pull cart because of the track marks they leave? |

Topic: Golf Talk / Unsatisfying Parents I agree with rohan1981, communication is entirely the key – frank, honest, open communication. Trying to go tit-for-tat with them in an argument (eg “its been shown golf makes you healthier, its good for social interaction”) won’t get you anywhere. Your best bet is to confront them and say “Mum, Dad, I really like golf. What is the real problem you have with it”. Once you know what the real issue is, you can move forward from there. |

Topic: Golf Talk / If you could only subscribe to one golf magazine??? I work in a newsagent with a very large magazine section, so I feel I am somewhat qualified to post here. Australian Golf Digest is quite good, as is its American counterpart. They both seem to have more opinion pieces. Some of the British ones (Golf World for example) are also good, though as someone living in Australia it doesn’t really resound (not much fun reading course reviews you’ll almost never play). Golf Australia is ok, but a little inferior to these IMO, seems to lack the real in-depth stories. So to answer the question, I’d pick Australian Golf Digest. |

Topic: Golf Talk / question for Publish I know this was directed at publish, but I thought I could answer it for you. Aggregate is a bit different from better ball, in that you add the stableford points of each player in the pair each hole (or if you want to look at it the other way, add the two 18-hole totals). In other words, both have to be on their game! |
