I’ve played the new RQ once, a couple of months ago. Played the previous layout about 10 times over the last 10 years or so. I never minded the old course anyway but the new one is a VAST improvement.
I think you mentioned in the other thread that you can get in without a joining fee??, no-brainer, jump in.
I can’t comment on the ‘quality’ of members or staff etc, like any club you join you’ll soon learn who to avoid and who to spend your golfing time with.
If I lived in Brisbane, could afford it, and get in I’d definitely do so. If you travel at all for golf the reciprocals are a bonus

Glenelg is near Adelaide airport, sandy soil, couch, with a reasonable amount of vertical movement thru the property (of the best 4 in Adelaide it has the most elevation change). Neil Crafter has done a major re-work over the last 8 – 10 years which has been generally well received (I first saw the course 2 years ago)
A bit of water in places and a good challenge, enjoy.

Played Blackwood last week, apart from a couple of greens have a patch or two of less than perfect grass the course is in great nick

Alan Mills in Sydney used to make Kangaroo leather bags out of a factory in Leichardt. After he retired I believe his son took over and moved to a factory further west. I have one of Alan’s bags (about 12 years old now) and a friend has 2 of them, his oldest about 25yo. I don’t know if they’re still in business.

There is a range near the public courses ‘Patawalonga’ which is near the western boundary of the airport, less than a 10 minute drive from the terminal.

you need to update your corporate jet if you need that length, a G5 should only need about 1800m

As for golf equipment, the biggest is on the corner of tapleys hill rd and Sir Don Bradman Drive.. They have the widest range and do everything there to.

hmmmmm, I drive past this intersection each day I go to work, shop must be camouflaged well. Maybe try the one on the cnr Henley Bch and South Rds

What a difference a month makes.

Sheeds seems to have the go-slow on J Johnson, bringing him off the bench throughout last night. He appeared to use the ball quite effectively, certainly better than McPhee who I think will dread watching the replay.

The 1st, 7th, 10th and 17th tees are all at the clubhouse. Good for shot gun starts.

The member I played with says they’ve used a 5 tee start previously to try and get large Sat comp fields around. In this instance it would mean starts on #’s 1, 10, 12, 15 & 17
