Topic: Golf Equipment / Back into it Hi All. I thought I would just give an update on my PB Citation. I have been to the driving range around four times since christmas and have found it quite easy to hit. Unfortunately I seem to be slicing (I think that is the right word) to the right everytime. I am starting to hit the ball close to 150m so I am happy with my progress. I have been trying to focus on eliminating the slice but am struggling. The good news is my wife has been coming and is quite keen to get started in golf. We have enrolled in some lessons as well starting in Feb. The pro used to teach at St Andrews so hopefully we will get some good advice. |

Topic: Sports Talk / Jokes R Us I will add another joke. A robber decided to rob a house. He climbed through the window and started to crawl across the floor in the dark. All of a sudden he hears “I can see you and so can Jesus”. The robber stopped for a moment and then thought he must have been in his head. He kept crawling. Then he hears it agian. “I can see you and so can Jesus”. He started to think it must be his nerves that are making him think he is hearing things. He hears it again. “I can see you and so can Jesus”. This time he jumps up and turns on the light. He sees a parrot in a cage. He walks over to it and the parrot says “I can see you and so can Jesus”. The robber says “what do I care if you can see me, your just a parrot”. The parrot replies “I may be just a parrot but Jesus is a |

Topic: The Lounge / Adds on PC I have found IE7 does a pretty good job off stopping popups. I have also purchased a copy of NoAdware a few years ago. It was like $29.95US or something. I found this to be fantastic. |

Topic: Golf Talk / What are your predictions for 2008 Brandt Snedeker to win more tournaments. (No major this year though, that will happen in 2009) Justin Rose to win a Major. Tiger to win the rest. As for me, I hope to stop playing very bad and upgrade to playing bad in the first half and then to start playing ordinary in the second half of the year. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Back into it
Yes it was actually but I am glad you said this. I am happy with my purchase and it is more of a learning driver rather anything else. I have noticed no one has reviewed them on here so after a few lessons and games I might be able to give some feedback akthough I do not have anything else to base it on. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Back into it Today I bought a Powerbilt Citation driver. I also tried a Bridgestone J33R but it did not feel right. These were the two in my price range and I was unsure what else was any good. The guy with whom I was dealing told me they were both good quality drivers so I am keen to get out there now. The driver has a lifetime warranty as well. The only snag I hit was that my wife says it can be part of my christmas present so I cannot get out until after that. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Back into it Thanks for the advice. I plan on spending money on lessons but as I do not have a driver as yet, I would like to get one for pracitce. I am not to keen on borrowing clubs. The Taylor made club sounds good. In regards to my handicap and swing speed I am unsure. I can almost guarantee that my handicap is 27+. I was talking to a work colleague and he said I should go to Drummond and use their clubfit system to get some analysis on my swing. I might do this on the weekend. Once again thanks. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Back into it Hi all, This is my first post.. Yay!! Anyway, I am planning to get back into the game after a 12 year break. I used to play with my dad until I was around 15 and then stopped. Now I am keen to get out there and enjoy like I used to. My question is that I want to slowly upgarde my old clubs starting with a driver (as I do not have one). What is a good option for someone like me. I guess I want more forgiveness rather than drive until I get my swing sought of right. What sought of price should I look at? I would like a reputable brand but I am not going to participate on USPGA if you know what I mean. Another question is should I go to Goldmart or Drummonds or should I go to the local. I usually like local business, you know help the little guy. Any advice. Sorry for the long post. |
