I played the South course at Nudgee, Brisbane earlier this week, and found the track to be sub-par to say the least.
I have always heard glowing reports about the course from others, but did not enjoy the experience. The greens were of a good standard, however bunkers were overgrown, and unraked, fairways were ordinary, and the layout was disapointing.
Just thought to share my opinion - there are many better in Brisbane!!

Have you played the North course there ?- I have always found the South a better course to play - They have just finished some renovations on the South and it is probably still a bit underdone but even then I would take it over the North - you want to get yourself to Pine Rivers or Sandgate if you want to play a couple of real shockers.

Your best bet would be to have a hit on the main 18 at Keperra - great value for around $30 - alternatively get down to Wynnum - I guess price would be similar ?

have a winner here - Sandgate GC in Brisbane is underwater when there is a big high tide - often you will find shells against your ball in the fairway and what is in the divot/ sand buckets is pretty close to what your lie will look like [talking sandcastles here!]
