Hello again
Well as Mark Twain once said rumours of my death have been
greatly exaggerated. How are we all, what's been happening ?
Did anyone miss me ?? (apart from Judgesmails, but that's
because he wanted to get into my pants)
i have been abroad, i must say it's nice to be home and to
hear australian humour again, those americans have no sense of
humour or sarcasm, speaking of which who do i most need to lash
out at with my caustic forked tongue ??

QUOTE: Andrew @ Apr 22 2006, 03:33 PM
“the love of money the root of all evil”
The Bible actually preaches through its entirety that anything
that steers a person away from God is evil. That can be money
or power or selfishness or anything else that moves God from
the position of first place in your life.
“sell all you have and give to the poor" ,
"easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle
than a rich man enter the kingdom of heaven"
Both statements come from the one passage in Matthew 19
referring to the story of the rich young ruler. For many years
it was taught that the ‘Eye of the Needle’ was
actually a hole in the wall of Jerusalem & other cities of
the time. The hole was used for those who wanted to enter the
city at night when all the gates where locked as a form of
defence. You could enter through the hole in the wall that was
only big enough for one man to fit through without any of his
belongings, thereby stopping him bringing in any weapons &
especially his camel. Although there were holes in some city
walls like this (not Jerusalem) it is unsure whether this is
what Jesus was referring to.
The Greek translation is also a problem with this verse because
some believe that the Greek word Kamilos, meaning Camel, should
have actually been Kamelos, meaning rope. Thus, it is more
difficult to pass a rope through the eye of a needle. There is
no definitive proof that this is what Jesus meant either.
Keeping things simple, without needing a degree in Theology,
the answer is found only a few verses later. In verse 25 of
chapter 19, the disciples question Jesus by asking, “Who
then can be saved?”. To which Jesus answers in verse 26,
"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are
possible."
Dana, it is difficult to ague theology & wealth when living
in the first world. The poorest person in Australia is still
within the top 10% of wealthiest people in the world. In other
words, we all have a camel to deal with, and there is only one
way to deal with our little humpy friend
Andrew, thanks for that, very informative & interesting. I
agree that the issue of wealth and theology is diffifult in our
society. My point is that like Mark the blake a couple of friends
i know who are pentecostal (?) i think keep crapping on about how
god wants them to be successful monetarily and as far as i
understood that should'nt be what drives someone in this life
if they have the christian faith ???? their prosperity teaching
sounds like a convenient justification for greed to me. Having
said that i have no problem with someone of that faith being
successful and making a lot of money, my understanding is as long
as they're responsible with it and not lusting after money
that's the main isssue ?? I think there's something about
"where your treasure is there your heart is also ?"
Don't have a problem with badds winning a ton of money he
seems to have his priorities in order.
Mark the blake seems to be barking up the wrong tree though from
my point of view and limited understanding

I dont know what message you have been listening too, what is
it?
(are you sure your not thinking of communism)
Aaron as a christian is quite rightly and unashamedly entitled
to his expensive luxurious lifestyle, and so is anyone else who
works hard at something. This is repeated countless times in
the bible, and thats where most christians i know get their
message from.
Mark the Blake, to me this seems to be an interesting
interpretation of things to suit one's own greedy purposes.
Correct me if i'm wrong but from what i was taught at school
and read for myself isn't the love of money the root of all
evil ??? From memory i don't remember Christ extolling the
virtues of accumulating wealth but wasn't it the opposite and
more "sell all you have and give to the poor" and
things like it's "easier for a camel to pass through the
eye of a needle than a rich man enter the kingdom of heaven"
etc ??????
I'm no bible scholar but i thought the message of the new
testament was of personal redemption and forgoing earthly things
to serve others, forgoing earthly desires to gain eternal life
etc ??? please set me straight on this if i've was taught
something that's different to your bible ?????

gained in confidence after hitting the second first ball, as he
could not believe the first one!
Belief in the tools in hand (no joke please) is a huge part in

Why not?? My theory is that you set the appropriate standard
from the start. If you ignore haircuts from day 1, or only
notice them occasionally, then you should be right.
But if he makes a fuss now she will expect a big song and dance
everytime he forgets something.
Treat her to a day of peace and quiet by going out for a round
of golf, followed by an afternoon punt with your mates. If
you're feeling particularly generous, give her even more
time to relax by turning that afternoon punt into an all-night
bender.
Problem solved.
well that's one way to tackle it. Just
don't complain when the milkman gets a run

Didn't notice the good lady wife's new hairdo when I
got home last night (and she had about 4 inches taken off with
a colour rinse put through as well). In my defence I did point
out that I was preoccupied with removing nesting ratbirds from
the guttering but apparently my priorities may have been in the
wrong order.
Any suggestions or should I just shut up and stop digging.

Mr Fyirippu I have some advice for you - You're a dead man
don't try to make excuses, big mistake,
just say "darling that's terrible of me to not notice,
you look incredible..." be honest and grovel. should work
if you employ some cunning linguistics that should keep her quiet
& happy too

i dont mind people thanking God after they win things.
i am a catholic, but it is not something i would do. if people
wanna thank God, good on em!!
but all his crap about the service in the morning, reciting
verses as he was putting etc is a bit over the top.
do it if you want, but no wants to know.
and then to say in his interview that his interest in the game
was all but gone a few years ago until he found his
relationship with God is mindblowing!!
what, did he give him a call, go down the pub for a couple of
lemonades and have a chat about his career??
did God actually show him what he was doing wrong with his
swing etc?
call it what you want, but in basic english, that is known as
preaching!!!
Ah ButcherBoy raises his head at last !!!! "all his
crap" is what's in his heart i think whether you agree
or disagree about his motivations i think it's mean to call
his life experiences crap. Sour grapes my friend, it really must
be hurting that he won this week ??? You realise he's
probably more likely to end up winning big ones that Adam Scott,
that thought must terrify you ???

Justine has been described by some as the BND (Brown Nose
Dwarf)
Now I am a West Aussie but I gotta say that that description is
absolutely spot on.
I remember when Alan Border had a This Is Your Life tribute and
guess who the first person was when they announced players in
the team as they came out from behind the curtain...yep 4 or 5
gamer at the time JL.
When Mr Waugh was captain there was hardly ever a photo of the
team without BND right next to his inspration & new best
friend and then tonight I hear on the news that BND was not
going to talk to Punter if he declared and prevented him from
batting after being sconed on the bonce. He also stated that
" Ricky was one of my best mates"
F*** !!!! Enough is enough Justine. You are a BND crab who as
an opening batsman played that delivery from Ntini like a
hapless joke. Described as courageous, gritty and a
streetfighter on the turf, all that you have really shown is
that you don't have a credible temperment to remain at the
top?
What a nasty vindictive tall poppy attack. Meanie.
