The club I play at has a rule that you aren’t eligible to win a daily comp unless you have played at least 1 comp round at the club in the previous month and for a major comp 12 rounds in the past year 1 of which must be in the last month, this stops burglars taking the club championship without putting in a bit of work

That could well be up to twenty players, cards and markers cards, this could then blow out to thirty or more, you must check all cards that win a prize because of balls on countback…. even ten cards would be a headache…. although like anything else once they get used to it, I suppose it would be ok….

I don’t even wear tracksuit pants outside the house let alone fathom wearing them to the golf course, each to their own I guess but I beleive one should dress appropriately for the occasion. For me that is slim tailored pants/chino’s and a nice polo with a v-neck over the top if it’s cold for the golf course. For me it’s part of the experience of having an enjoyable round and feeling (and looking) good while your doing it.

If you want a worst dressed list I would start by putting David Love 111 at the top of it, the guy gets all the free Ralph Lauren gear in the world and still can’t find a polo shirt that the sleeves don’t come down past his elbows on.

I’m with Norm, in that I would overdress rather than under for most occasions including off the course, but there are worst things to be known for, like being a slob for instance.
