Yep, i strengthen my grip for the driver.
It means i know the ball is going to move right to left. This way i can tee up on the left side of the tee box, aim down the right side and work it back.

If i use that grip with my irons i hit hooks.

Don’t know if it’s a bad habbit or not, but it works.

I’ve played the ‘strong draw to hook or else block game’ for about 6 months now. Solid contact, but you can’t score with it.
I was using a strong grip but has pissed me off enough to weaken the grip in an attempt to straighten out the ball flight.

Very interested how to ‘straighten’ it out with a strong grip.

I was playing the 560MC’s and they’re good stuff. Very forgiving.

I’ve just got the new 555C’s. I think it’s going to be a case of ‘love you long time’.

As expected, less forgiving than the 560MC’s, but so pure out of the slot.

I was confused because the low point for irons is below the ground and above for the driver. Trying to relate this back to ‘Freddy’ got me in a mess.

I’m working on getting more down and out with my irons as well. Good results.

The driver is a different story.
Applying down and out provides a steeper angle of attack which results in a combination of push slices or hooks. I’ve tinkered with ball position.

So to me, down and out required to hit solid irons isn’t the same feeling you’re going to get with hitting the driver well. Do you need to change your swing thoughts because the ball is posititoned just before / at low point?

If so, what kind of thoughts should you have with the driver?

I would also like to thank Mr Hart & Mr Smith for the workshop.
My understanding of what’s required to improve my golf game has vastly improved. The concepts were explained / demonstrated clearly and easily understood.
I have no doubt that my golf will improve with some intelligent practice from this workshop. I can already feel a marked improvement in my ball striking.
