Topic: Golf Talk / Max Garske: Changing the Face of Golf The PGA appears to be focused on it’s membership base and developing the game within, which is great. Unlike other administrations that are focusing on all issues and trying to be the best at everything and doing an average job; but blowing plenty of cash in the process! |

Topic: Golf Talk / Scott Arnold wins Riversdale Cup (Scores and Photo Gallery) Arnold showed great strength to win yesterday. Conditions were terrible with the hot winds…makes Mat Griffen’s round of 68 also very impressive. Top effort Scotty..next..the Australian Amateur and bring it home to the Shire! |

Topic: Golf Talk / Draper shoots 61 at Australian 4 Ball There’s a fine line between a critique and been negative or knocking a sports star. Draper stepped up to the plate to try and be a professional golfer. Doing that he’s automatically in the spotlight. Critique goes with the territory of professional sport. Sports stars are not protected species and so any comment about Draper’s game and were it’s at, should be looked in such a perspective and not as a personal attack on him. Kill critique of any sporting professionals and you’ll kill sport, although Rugby League players are doing a fine job of just killing their own sport with their behavior, irrespective of any critique. Sure admire his determination, but also take into account where his games at and compare it to others. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Draper shoots 61 at Australian 4 Ball I’m not sure if Draper would hunt media attention given he’s been in the media spotlight for so long. I play both tennis and golf and to me, golf is the harder of the two (but there’s sure to be debate on that). Draper’s game to me seems still to have a long way to go and I tend to follow the line that his game remains at a level below a top-flight golf professional, irrespective of his 61 today. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Ewan Porter: The Consummate Gentlemen Ewan Porter is in my mind one of the most underrated pros we have, by way of ability. Last weekend proved he has the capacity to go the full distance. No other player came close to him at Moonah and to finish the way he did….brilliant golf, not to mention one of the best finishing rounds we’ve seen in Australia golf for decades… Top job Ewan and well deserved! |

Topic: Golf Talk / Australian Masters seeks new sponsor
There was more than that involved, but Channel 7’s efforts certainly did not assist.. The again…I was getting sick of the same old commentary you get with Channel 7 (Jack N..an exception) IMG…well…time will only tell how well they will pull this off. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Our Club Needs a New Website Our club (Sydney based) is about to build a new website to integrate with online member, public time sheet and back of house financials. Currently our club is using FACTS back office which we will be replacing as they don’t really have an online booking system. We have had presentations from both Power Golf and MiClub late last year. Mi Club were dear as poison and could not offer a fully integrated system – only with a number of third party products. IMO – always a worry. The Power Golf system offers a fully integrated system all the way through. Were were also particularly interested in the Power Golf partnership with the ISG and the upcoming online tee times bookings for the public. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Scoring chaos at Australian Open just bring back a simple page of the scores and placings. Man “TH” will be keeping a low profile tomorrow… and he should…disgraceful. “IT wankers” a bit too heavy Scrotum…..but there are plenty of them that promise the world and deliver shit….those dudes today did exactly that….and GA is sleeping in it this evening.. I also heard that GA brought in the “usual” IT people to help out and get it sorted for tomorrow…hope they charge a premium… |

Topic: Golf Talk / Scoring chaos at Australian Open Is the reason why no scores are available on isg because GA have F—ked the whole thing up and no-one knows shit at GA? What a f—king disgrace.. I’m at work all day and busting to know what is going on and those tech heads could not organise a piss-up in a brewery… and by the picture on iseek’s article…. just out of school…. shocking….bloody kids on computers…and cheap heaps of shit at that….clunkers… heads have to fall on this Fu-k Up.. Head of GA….? ps.. Aust PGA Champs were a stunning result… now we have this shit! |

Topic: Golf Talk / NZ Open Winner Bowditch will F—K it up. You only have to look at his Nationwide Tour results to see he has no capacity what-so-ever to bring home the goods. He’ll loose it, like his done countless times before. His head is F—ked I predict a 84 before Sunday..he’s a waste of space…number filler and no more |

Topic: Golf Talk / Allenby threatens to boycott future Australian Opens Unless we get some “spunk” back into the game, the sport will be as attractive as “Sunday Morning Lawn Bowls” with the over 60’s at the local Bowling Club. No-one interested…... The professionals are too “robot” and fail to get the crowd interacting…it’s too predictable, no charges to the finish like the old Norman days (Grant Dodd has a point), no charisma with the game… It’s in need of change to get everyone interested. If they need to get pissed, have some interaction with players, then GA are on the right thing! Allenby then needs to adapt! |

Topic: Golf Talk / CH 7 DISGRACE! Sky Sports must have been desperate….... The guy is a loophead, you only have to listen to what crap comes out of his mouth. One way to loose ratings, employ Radar. The other is to stop the coverage at a critical time…..well done Channel 7. Would Packer have done that with one over to spare in a limited over cricket match, with Australia needing only a run to win? I think not. |
