$US and golf club prices
Dwayne…. I know a few golf professionals well…after buying from US ebay and showing a pro the club, he was quite happy to admit that he couldn’t get the club from his supplier for the price i paid…yes, it was used, but by the looks of it, less then 2 or 3 rounds. Look, i dont have the money to buy shit at retail prices that I can get so much cheaper elsewhere, if I did, then maybe I would support local business. And, you obviously have a love for drummond golf stores or something, from your reactive replies to anyone bagging it. Look mate, I used to go to golf works at the Gabba heaps, bought 3 sets from there, 3 wedges, a hybrid and took a mate to get a driver and a set irons…I have not always hated, but the service I have recieved there, not from all members of staff, but from most, in the last 3-6 months has been terrible, they just dont seem interested unless your buying expensive shit. Srixon i-701 Tour irons are HERE!!!!!
Jarrod o7au, It’s pretty clear that you have a problem with Drummonds as much as Dwayne loves them. He has to he is an Acushnet rep. You have bagged Drummonds at every opportunity on these forums especially the Gabba store. If you know so many people you wouldn’t be there shopping in the first place. It sounds like you are someone who works in the industry who has an issue with this particular store. Every time there is derogatory comment toward that store you chime in with your 2 cents. I find that hugely hypocritical considering that this site has them as a sponsor and you choose to rag them in a public forum. What company or store do you work for?

GolfWorks Gabba Sold
Yeh harro8u i fully understand what you are saying but no retail store like these club fit properly they might create the illusion that they are but i am not convinced, if you want a club to suit yourself properly you have to go to a firm like golf club innovations.
Not entirely true. Once again it comes down to the individual fitting you. You should be able to tell straight away if someone is not fitting you properly (sounds like you would know). You should be able to spot the illusion as you call it. Going to GCI will do no more for you than someone who knows what they are doing whether they work in a retail store or a fitting specific environment. There is plenty of shoddy work comes out of GCI these days so don’t be too quick to make assumptions.

Buying clubs from Drummound Golf
Sammy, Can you tell me what qualifications you can get in this country. Apart from PGA which in terms of fitting is not really a qualification and your various ones in the US that are done from afar, is there anything here? Guys who advertise they are qualified in the various OEM brands have nothing, that is unless they have been through each facility and an appropriate fitting procedure of which the question remains, who says it is a qualification. There have been many comments made re no industry standard in golf and in regard to fitting qualifications where does it start and does it exist and how are the standards monitored. Doing a correspondence course in theory and receiving a supposed qualification without showing your practical skills seems like a reason we continually have no standard in the industry. Seems like qualifications or claims to it don’t have much substance here, interested in your thoughts.
