companies have done research and actually purchased clubs off ebay to try and track down the suppliers and 3/4 were fakes i read it in a golf paper about year ago

it is proven that at least 70% of new golf gear on ebay is fake especially taylormade , callaway , mizuno etc

I have to be honest here, I have tried the Expert ball a few times of late and I can’t find much to recommend. Distance is no better than the Srixon Z-UR, Bridgey 330s or ProV1x, it scuffs up way more than any of these three, especially out of the bunkers, and it does not spin/check on half shots on firm greens (unlike the others I mentioned). Only when the greens are wet does it hold with any sort of consistency, but then again so does just about everything else.

I found it played more like a Top Flite or Ultra than the best premium balls. It is easier to see in the fairway though.

Maybe I will try it again if they bring out a version that spins more consistenty.

if that was true millhouse why when i bought an r540 brand new off rock bottom golf and it snapped at hosel taylormade wanted receipt from store purchased in australia and they told me if purchased outside of australia i need to send it back to where purchased i ended up taking it to local pro shop and getting another shaft fitted why do you think most clubs have serial numbers now thats what odyssey do they have record of every putter they have sold and if you send back a putter and the serial number does not show up on their computer that they sold it originally they wont touch it unless they charge you

No idea why TaylorMade knocked the warranty back. I had a TM driver that caved after one hit, I looked up their website for their agents here, a local golf shop was listed so I took it there and they did the rest for me, no charge. Replaced it no questions asked after TM had a look at the club.

Maybe you were just unlucky.

Not really. I have bought gear from the USA which turned out to be defective (caved face of driver, crack in shaft) both Taylor Made and PING. Both clubs were replaced here without any issues at all – no charge. Simply go to the website of each manufacturer to find their authorised repairers and you will have no problems. Didnt even need a receipt.

The “no warranty” myth is perpetuated by the golf shop staff here to put buyers off buying online (and of course to pay top dollar in the shops).
